6am flat... Arhianna set their alarm clock to have enough time to prepare. Their flight to Davao is today at 11am. She reached for the irritating piece of invention by, who knows who, and turned it off. She rolled her body on the other side, stretched her arms to reach the person sleeping beside her. To her surprise, it was empty. She immediately sat up, panicking but found a note by the lampshade, her name written in a hand writing she very well know.

Don't fret, but I think you did after not seeing me beside you. Mom called in the middle of the night about an emergency call she received from Uncle Junjun. I wanted to wake you up, but I don't have the heart to do that. You look so peaceful in your sleep. Call me once you woke up.

A slight sting pricked her heart. This is the first time that she woke up without David. She placed back the note and picked up her phone and dialed David's number.

"hi sweetheart. You're up early," David answered on the other line.

"is everything okay? what was the emergency? is Uncle Junjun all right? how is tita Julie?" Arhianna asked continuously.

"sweetheart, everything's fine. calm down,"

"you said theres an emergency?"

"yes, but nothing to be worried about. Uncle called from LA. he is being sued by his business partners for an explainable expenditures. si tito tinuturo nung accountant nila because of his signatures but tito said he didn't signed any vouchers or any documents. so we are thinking of possible forgery of his signature,"

"so what are you all planning?"

"well....." David paused. He doesn't know how to break the news to his girlfriend. As much as he don't want to, but he has to.

"i have a bad feeling about this David,"

"i'm so sorry. i can't say no,"

"David, you planned this trip. this 5 days trip is for us both,"

"i know. but mom wants me to go there and be with Uncle even just for a couple of days. you know uncle lives alone. he needs family," 

"you know i need you,"

"me too. but once we get married, we have all the time in the world. please Arhianna, just this one,"

Arhianna can't do anythign anymore. Knowing David, he is a family centered person. It in not the first time David had cancel their together time to fix his family's problem. She sighed and dropped her body down on her bed.

"baby?" David called.

"alright. i'll just stay home. Cancel the Davao trip," rubbing her tamples.

"no. proceed with the trip. i told you, i'll stay with uncle just for a couple of days and then i'll fly to Davao to be with you," David heard a sob coming from the other line. "hey, sweetheart. don't cry. its not that i'll be gone for a longer time. please. i'll make it up to you, i promise,"

"but..."

"please. enjoy for 2 days then, i'll be there. please please please,"

"fine fine fine. i'll go. but don't expect i'll be enjoying without you,"

"thank you. mom has purchased a ticket to LA. my flight will be tonight,"

"i can accompany you to the airport. you can move my flight on the same time as yours,"
