Arranged Marriage

Chapter 7

Bella's POV
We were in silence for a couple of moments until Edward broke it.

"Bella may I ask you a question!"

"Sure" I said more as a question than a statement.

"Did you have a boyfriend before you moved with us?"

"No, Edward I've never had a boyfriend before." I blushed

"Why not?"

"I'm really shy I guess. Boys would always hit on me and make an effort to get with me but I always turned them down."

"You're beautiful without a doubt no need to question that so it's very surprising that you never had one"

I blushed a dark shade of crimson.

"Thank you. Have you ever had a girlfriend before?" No it was my turn to be nosey.

"Well, yes, her name is Tanya Denali she goes to the same boarding school. She will probably be threatened by you, considering you're betrothed to me."

"Why did you two break up?"

"She was very controlling and all she cared about was the publicity and my family didn't like her or think she was suitable to be queen so I ended it with her. We were together for about a year, we broke up a few months ago but she's not over me yet"

"That's too bad, are you over her yet?"

"I was over her the second we broke up"

We stayed in a comfortable silence for the rest of the ride home. We got back to the palace in a short amount of time because of Edwards insane driving. When we arrived Alice was waiting for me so we can have some 'girl time'. I looked at Edward to save me but he just chuckled and left the room. Alice practically dragged me up the stairs to her room. Rosalie was also there waiting for us. Alice's room was very girly. It was about the same size as mine but her closet was way bigger. Her entire room was pink, it was cute but definitely not my style. They started by washing my hair and adding subtle light brown highlights. They then blow dried it, but I insisted that they leave my hair with its natural curls. Alice started painting my nails while Rosalie did my toes. Then the girl talk started.

"So Bella, do you like it here yet?" Alice asked

"Your home is very lovely, I'm sure I'll learn to love it."

"What do you think about Edward"

I blushed.
"Edwards nice I guess"

"Oh my gosh, Bella you're totally blushing, you like him don't you?"

"Alice calm down, I don't like him, I barely know him"

"You barely know me and Rose but you like us don't you"

"I adore you two, but boys are different, Edward is different"

"Even if you don't like him now which you do, you'll grow to like him maybe even love" Rosalie spoke for the first time.

"Love is most definitely out of the question"

"Oh come on Bella you two are getting married sooner or later how can you not love him, and if it helps Edward definitely likes you"

"He does not"

"He's smitten for you Bella how can you not see that. He treats you way better than how he treated Tanya and your not even his girlfriend"

"You two are completely insane"

Rose and Alice finished my nails which were now a dark shade of blue we continued to talk for hours about everything. I could tell that Rosalie and Alice would be great friends. After about three hours of us just talking and getting to know each other someone knocked on the door. I went to answer it and Edward was on the other side.

"Hey" I said

"Hey" he said

We stood there looking at our shoes for awhile.

"Is there any particular reason why you came" I asked

"Oh umm it's time for dinner if you guys are ready" he said loud enough so Rose and Alice could hear.

We stood in silence yet again not knowing what to say. Then he unexpectedly tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear. I could feel my cheeks becoming hot.

"Your hair is very pretty" he said

"Thank you"

"Awwnnn you two are so cute, look Rose she's blushing" Alice gushed

"Awnnnn" Rose sighed

I gave both of them a death glare so they would shut up. Then we all walked downstairs to the dining room for dinner.

Carlisle and Edward sat at the opposite ends of the table. Edward motioned for me to sit next to him. Alice sat next to me with Jasper on her other side. Rosalie sat across from me with Emmett at her side, and Esme sat next to Carlisle.

We all sat in a comfortable silence just enjoying each others company while eating the delicious food.

"So how was everyones day" Esme asked

Then Alice began telling about her entire day and even all of her plans that included all of us before we went to school. Apparently we were going to go on a big shopping trip a week before we leave, then the day before we leave we were going to get a make over at one of the local salons. I joined in on some of the conversations going on and I caught Edward staring at me multiple times. Even though I had only been at the palace for a short time I was starting to feel at home and included.

The whole family has been very patient with me adjusting to their lifestyle. Esme is a very motherly person better than my birth mother; I know in the future I can come to her for advice or just motherly love. Carlisle is very busy with work but he cares a lot about his family and is very compassionate. Alice is very hyperactive and it's impossible not to love her. Emmett is like a big teddy bear in a way. His dimples and baby face make him look sweet but those muscles make him look like he can demolish a tank. Rosalie keeps to herself but she's very kind.We had a lot of things in common and I know that we would always get along well. Jasper also keeps to himself maybe it's a twin thing but I can tell he loves Alice a lot. Edward is very formal in a way. He speaks like he's from the 1800's. His beautiful green eyes make me lost. I love his golden hair and how it's always in a disarray. I love when he smiles at me with that crooked smile it just makes me blush. Maybe Alice and Rose were right. I think I'm starting like maybe even love Edward Cullen.
