Chapter Twelve || No Control

"And their is a myth that says... if you look into his eyes he will blind you...if he touch you, you'll be paralyzed" Nita chuckled as if it was a game

Paralysed?!

"Why are you so shocked?" Nita said confused as she shook her head

Paralysed!?!?

"You said paralysed right?" Malissa stopped deadly in her place

"Yeah...right" Nita looked confused as hell,  she frowned as she shook her head

"B-before I - met you... a creature just like that one... attacked me , I was going to die... but then it got paralysed and there was a deep scar on the back of its neck.." Malissa explained still puzzled

" Oh my god... it's probably not The Vlex
...Did it die?" Nita questioned suspiciously

"Yeah..." Malissa said awkwardly as she scratched her head as she looked around

"It's him" Nita nodded afraid as she looked around

" you know if he leaves a scar on the back of your neck you'll only get paralysed...but if he leave it with the disease... your doomed and by I doomed I mean you're dead" Nita's voice was quivering unconditionally

Malissa's heart barely stopped... not because of what Nita said but because Nita was afraid... and it doesn't look like a usual thing

"But why would he save you?" Nita talked to herself as she started walking

"That's what I'm asking for...why would he save me?!" Malissa questioned as she started following her

"Are you hiding something Malissa from me? If you want me to help you...you have to trust me...cause he would never ever save a person. ..you are special... and you have something that no one has..." Nita was a very smart girl since she was young...

But how could Malissa trust a person she just met? How could she tell Nita that she is a pure? She'll definitely take her to ECOW

"I - don't know w-what your saying" Malissa shook her head acting like she doesn't comprehend a thing

"Don't lie at me Malissa! I can see that you're hiding something!" Nita said angrily and sprinted in front Malissa...

" Can you stop for a second! !" Malissa finally exploded at Nita... This is the first time ever Malissa turned that angrily after her parents death

Nita froze in her place surprised of Malissa's attitude

"You don't understand what is happening to me... from the past nine weeks... My parents turned so sick... I watch them die everyday... to this morning... they actually died! I didn't even say goodbye to my own father... Mom died between my arms... This world changed... A lot !!!I have No Control over this shitty impact in my damn life!!" Malissa cried as she fell on her knees...

Nita's anger faded as she cleaned her throat and brushed her hand through her short black hair

"I'm s-sorry" Nita said... Nita wanted to tell Malissa that she passed through way more worse things, that keep her awake at night... but she understands that everything is new to Malissa...so she walked towards her and helped her stand up

" Let's go now... the sun started to fade... and we have to settle down for the night" Nita whispered as she walked with Malissa

" so you told me your parents didn't turn to these creatures ?" Nita questioned as she put the lifeless squirrel above the fire...

"Yeah..." Malissa nodded quickly as she nibbled on the meat in her hand

"So they definitely committed a suicide" Nita said as her eyes roamed the cave she just found

"No... of course not...they wouldn't leave me alone" Malissa said shocked of what Nita said

"Yeah...I guess they did ...Since if they were stupid like my parents ...they'll forget who you are and they'll turn like these creatures and they'll definitely gonna kill you... I am now in second stage of the the vlex. . I didn't turn quickly cause I have better immune then my family...but I'll end up like them sooner or later" Nita smiled widely and that made Malissa frown...

"You look so healthy... you don't seem you have the disease . .. but everyone has it... especially in the woods" Nita chuckled loudly

Is this the result of the vlex? Turn nuts?...Malissa thought to herself

"Now go to sleep... I'll tell where we will go tomorrow morning "Nita said as she turned to her side and laid down to sleep

Malissa was afraid... that Nita will turn to a hideous creature. ..cause she is the only person left in her life.
