Eros whispered to the confused Xerxes, "Look! A songbird!"

Xerxes smiles gently and said, "From that thingy, right?"

"Yeah! The riddle!" The two stared at the songbird again, expecting some kind of miracle to happen; Ending up without any response, however, the duo, who had Alice and Feraligatr standing but a few yards away and also noticing the bird, stood wasting a good minute looking like idiots at the bemused creature. Unhappy with this, Eros stepped forwards and asked, "Hello? Who are you?"

The bird, staring for a few more seconds, simply flew in the opposite direction while singing a soft tune to which the likes of were never heard of to them before. Seeing this as the only way forwards in their journey, they chased after the creature and looked for any sign as to where it was going, running after it and shouting for what felt like miles on end, evading tree after tree in the hopes of ending this chase.

While their running led them somewhere in the middle of the forest and without a clue as to what the significance was, this didn't stop the bird from resting atop a perch above and standing facing away, something very off-putting for a creature that was chased- lest it wasn't actually trying to get away from them... Eros, realizing that this might've been no more than a red herring, frowned and turned back, almost leaving from sight before the creature fell forwards and hung upside-down from the tree, looking intently at the party and calling towards them.

"Hello, wondrous child! Do you need me and the call of the wild?!"

Eros turned around and looked at the creature, as did the rest of his party, and stated, "What do you mean? May I help you?"

The bird chirped, smiled and sang, then said, "Help me? No, no, no! Young child, I'm here to help you!"

"Really? You know the riddle-"

"'The songbirds silver and gold, answers untold till their song hold'? Yes, child. In fact, I know of the creature that wove that phrase. I know them quite well."

"Well, that's helpful." Eros was about to remember what he was after when Xerxes appeared aside him and asked for him.

"Do you know my father?"

The bird looked to the sky and lost his smile, rather employing a look of wonder. "Well, I wouldn't say 'know' is the right word. Have I heard of him? Yes. Do I know his exact location and status? Yes. Do I communicate with him often? No. So, I'd guess the answer would be no."

Xerxes, ignoring the quaint nature of the Chatot, simply asked, "Well, where is he!?"

The Chatot looked down upon her once more and replied, "I cannot say it right now, Sneasel! It is not my will to restrain this vital piece of evidence from you, but there are ways to obtain this information, should you need it..."

"Well, how do I get it?"

The Chatot formed a grin with its beak and looked to Eros, who received an extended form of the riddle that was, "The songbirds silver and gold, answers untold till their song hold,
Follow these unheard Angels and their wings, for the choir holds answers and things,
And when you hear their final note, the metal of tongue and throat,
You shall have what you seek, lest you're deemed less than meek...!" The Chatot giggled at the last line and ended up flying eastwards, something that led the party to think on the larger version of the riddle.

Eros spoke first, commenting, "Look, I can't remember that whole thing. Can we just wing it or something?"

Feraligatr approached and gave his opinion, "It must mean we need to look for more birds. In regards to what he said, he implied that there was more than one of his kind, right?"
