No more romance, yay! Well, I mean, the plan, but... Eh.

Btw, I meant to update on Christmas for you, but I already update Fridays, so here you go.

Eros was crying silently as Sicily had to drag him across the forest, leading him in the general direction of her hometown, which was just north of the old Bell Tower. It was definitely going to be a long journey, as the town was nearly a week's hike away. Moreover, it was starting to snow a little all over Morono. While the area was generally exempt from any weather changes that came with the seasons, there were always times where the clime gave way to annual events, such as the heat waves of summer or snowfall of winter. Generally, these changes would only last a month, or more often three weeks, yet it always made quite a mark on the land once it was all over. At this time, it was in the deep reaches of December, and snow touched a great deal of the earth. This, however, gave way to the more anticipated annual event, the massive winter celebrations of Morono. Basically, Christmas, but you can totally not give your friends anything and they can't complain. Worst holiday ever if you're the decent person.

Either way, Eros was reluctantly following Sicily down some kind of artificial trail in the forest, far from well-traversed yet clearly marked by some kind of footprints. At first glance, it would appear to be some kind of forest trail, unlike the massive worn routs that inhabit this region, although no human would be this foolish enough to traverse so far into the Pokemon's territory. Small bits of ice were adorned on to every plant and grain of dirt, clearly frozen, although the land was generally lacking in precipitation. They were making good time, about one sixth of the way by the first day.

Eros was following close to Sicily, a tad nervous from the near-dead silence of the forest. It wasn't necessarily uncommon for the reaches of the jungle to be quiet, although this kind of dead silence was generally an ill omen, one that was only reinforced by the horrific corpse of a Pidgey they found near the beginning of the hike, sprawled across a great shrub. Eros asked Sicily what happened to it, but she simply shook her head and said that she didn't know.

This did not stop Eros from whining like a total bitch, however, and he made it only halfway through the second day before complaining, "Why can't you just fly me there or something?"

Sicily simply continued her odd waddle through the thicket, oddly keeping good pace with Eros. She was thinking, for sure, but had to wait a few moments before saying, "I don't feel comfortable doing that."

"What? Why? It's not like a ton of other trainers don't do it. I think."

"Because, what if I drop you and you die or something?" Sicily was distraught by the mere thought that Eros could be harmed, none the less by her hands. "Anyhow, it's not like you're in a rush to meet my parents. Ugh. And, for the record, neither am I."

Eros simply frowned to himself and muttered a few useless complaints to himself, all concerning how this was the last thing he wanted to do. "Are you sure your parents have a humanity stone?"

"I do not favor visiting them and such, but if I wasn't absolutely confident in them, I wouldn't go. Plus, I didn't really tie things up very good last time I saw them..." The end of the last sentence rolled on for a bit, implying that there was much more than simply that.

"N-not very good? Like how?"

"Heh. I burnt bridges. Said things I'd come to regret. Mean things, mainly. I told them that I wanted to go save my trainer and not be a princess. I also called them stupid, which was really more of a cherry on top." Sicily was nearly quivering at the thought of this, despite the pendant around her neck.

"Oh. This is going to be tough... Why couldn't they be a demon that we could slay and send into a volcano or something? I'd rather do that."

"What I'D rather you do is stop doing stupid dangerous stuff for Cerci, but apparently that's too wild of an idea for you. Why are you always doing stupid dangerous stuff?" Sicily was starting to get herself riled up, but Eros saw this and found a way to calm her down.
