Chapter 2

My jaw dropped and I stared dumbfounded at my brother.

"What the hell are you talking about??" I screamed at him. Michael just stared at me, a look of pity on his face. I stomped around the table and grabbed him by his ugly toga thing.

"What are you talking about, Michael?!" I screeched as I shook him. Michael pushed me off of him stood up.

"She's you're soulmate, Lucifer!" Michael said as he stood in a defensive position, probably expecting me to attack him again. I shook my head and walked away.

"You're bullshitting." I retorted.

"Lucifer, her name is Charlotte. We know she's your soulmate because God created her for you. He doesn't think it's good for you to be down here alone. It's just a plus that she has extraordinary powers. I guess God's involvement made her powerful. Seriously, Lucifer she can--"

"I DON'T CARE!" I roared. I flipped the table and walked over to the window to look out at the Grand Canyon. "Why the hell would He make me a soulmate?! I never asked him to! I don't want anyone, I'm better off alone." I pressed my hand against the window, breathing slowly. I needed to calm down.

Michael shook his head. "He said you have to at least meet her. Or he'll strip you of your immortality and send you to earth."

I spun around, eyes wide. "He can't do that!"

Michael just looked at me sympathetic. Damn it. He can do that. I sat down at the desk and put my head in my hands. He wanted me to fall in love with this girl?

"You are to be shipped off tomorrow. Look, Luke, I know this is hard for you, after... Well, after. I just need you to be gentle on her." Michael insisted. His eyes looked sad. 

I nodded and Michael walked out.

A soulmate? There's no way. It's gotta be a mistake. I knew I would realize that she meant nothing and move on. I stood up and walked out of my office, the doors slamming behind me.

I wondered what this girl was like. If she was a good person, if she was a bad person. I nodded at Veronica, who ignored me.

All I know is, this was going to be... interesting.

Hello friends! So, I am currently editing this on July 1st, 2016! I just realized there are a LOT of mistakes and weirdness. I honestly don't know how much I am going to change, I guess we'll just see. I've matured a LOT as a person and some of the different things within this just made me cringe a lot.

Ignore this if you're reading a lot later. Shouldn't affect you.
