Grant's POV
As the two of us are walking I start thinking of things to say, Should I ask if she was okay from fainting should I make small talk with her I don't really know what I should do but I end up blurting out the first question that pops into my head "Have you known Kevin long?" She looks up at me and I enjoy the fact that I am taller than she is and while she is looking at me I take in her brown hair and green eyes "I've known Vanessa longer but I have known Kevin for a few years he can be a pain sometimes." I laugh and keep walking next to her I don't get close enough to touch her but I do stay by her side "Are you okay from fainting earlier?" Her eyes widen a bit at this question and I start thinking that maybe I shouldn't have asked that "Yeah I'm fine and thanks for catching me earlier when I fell off the chair." I shrug my shoulders "No problem." We keep walking and I want to say more and I have the feeling that my nervousness and being awkward comes from the girl who is walking next to me.
Kevin's POV
After clearing the air with Vanessa she lays the CD down on the table and walks over to me and she looks up at me "Will you sing for me please?" I get ready to start when she stops me "Do your part in drowning this time." I wrap my arms around her and start singing to her

this time I sing more than just my part because I know it is one of her favorites but we are caught off guard when the door opens we turn around and see that Mallory and Grant have made their way back to the house. Mallory looks us at us with an eyebrow raised "Um are we interrupting something?" "Oh please you know you want to see that you would love it." "Trust me I don't want to see it I would be scarred for life." I laugh and I'm glad that I am on good terms with her again as well. Grant coughs and clears his throat "I um I better go it was nice meeting you." Vanessa pinches my side and I jump I look at her then at Mallory who is giving me a pleading glance as well what do they want me to do tie him up and keep him here forever? I think of a quick plan "Why don't you come with us to dinner tonight?" "Thanks I'd like that." Mallory walks over and stands on her tip toes where she can reach my ear and whispers a soft thank you in my ear. Then her and Vanessa walk upstairs to get ready leaving the two of us standing alone in the living room
