Gaara x Reader

"Kankuro who is that girl over there?" He turned around so he was staring at you, carefully you listened in to their conversation trying to not been seen eavesdropping.
"Well I thought it was your job to find out about all the villagers and guests into the village, Gaara?! I dunno maybe Temari's friend or something?" Just as Kankuro had spoke of her, Temari came wondering along to her brothers. Conversation broke out all about you and they were blatantly staring at you, beginning to feel uncomfortable you slowly walked away.

"So yeah she's from the Leaf Village, she actually been told to move here by the Hokage due to some reasons that were personal or something. I bascially picked her up when I went back to the village like a month ago... Her name is (Y/N), I thought you knew this and was gonna have some sort of meeting with her about living in the Sand Village?" Gaara looked back to where you had previously been and was saddened at the fact that you were now gone.
"Yes, I will have to..."

"Erm Lord Kazekage, you wanted to see me?" Gaara's face seemed to light up as you stood in the doorway of his office.
"Yes... Come in...." You walked into his office and stood in front of his desk while he sat down in his chair.
"It's my job as the Kazekage to know everyone who comes in and out of the village, who stays and who goes. It has come to my attention that you are a new member of our village sent by our ally, the Leaf Village." You nodded and he smirked to you, "great I look forward to you staying here for the foreseeable future."
You left his office hoping that you would see Gaara, the Kazekage, a whole lot more.

---Time Skip---

You had been at the village for a whole two years and you were very close to everyone at the village. Temari and Kankuro were really close to you, probably cause you spend a lot of time with Gaara. You help him out with paper work he has to do and keep him up to date with the workings of the village, this also made your friendship with Kankuro a whole lot stronger.

"(Y/N) I think Gaara has something to tell you, he told me to come and get you, I dunno what's it's about, probably work." You left the room and went to Gaara's office.

More work huh ..... This guy works me to the bone.... Good thing he's cute!!

You knocked on his door and heard the faint answer to enter, which you did.

"Kankuro said you wished to see me?" He looked over to you standing in front of the door and gave you a massive smirk.

Oh no what does he want me to do!? He's probably got hundreds of papers for me....

"Well how do I put this to you, (Y/N), I Erm - er I'm grateful for everything you do for me and - and I just had to tell you that I - I, love you ....." He turned his back so you couldn't see his red face.

"Gaara, I love you too."
