"You coming to the game tonight?" My boyfriend of eight months, David, asks me with a smile.

"Well I kinda have no choice, you dork." I state as I'm a football manager and I attended every single game

"Glad I've always got my girl on the field with me." He says kissing me as we walk up to my classroom

"See you later babe." I say as I walk into my advanced english class.

"Hey." my annoying semester partner James says to me as I sit in my seat

"Hey." I reply dryly

James Young and I had a solid, hate-love, sarcastic, forced friendship, that compiles of plenty of arguing, nice come backs and assault with pens. He was arrogant, sarcastic and he always had to be right. But none the less, I was stuck doing 80% of my work with him for the semester.

"Don't freeze out there tonight while you cheer on your tool." He says as we start coming up for material for our class debate.

"At least my tool made the team." I say twisting the knife a bit. James transferred from a rival school in our district and couldn't play football this season, but that wasn't his fault.

"Bet I'm ten times better than your boyfriend. Not just on the field, but in the sheets." He says with his not so sly smirk

"Now, now James we've talked about this. You spending quality time with your hand does not qualify you as a pro in the sheets." I reply and he rolls his eyes as we turn our attention back to our work.

"I don't see why you date that guy." He mumbles

"I don't see why you care." I reply

"Trust. I don't." He states surely

"Then shut up and start finding reasons that books shouldn't be banned in schools." I say with a sarcastic smile
