Jamie Benn

You and Jamie Benn had been best friends since high school. Once he left your hometown of Victoria to pursue his hockey career, you figured that you wouldn't see him much, let alone ever again. But you were so excited when you got a job offer in Dallas; it was where Jamie was playing hockey. He was just as excited to hear the news.

Ever since you both met up after awhile, the two of you have done almost everything together. You just had that inseparable bond. But, you found yourself having different feelings about your best friend. You knew you fell in love with Jamie, but you didn't want to admit it.

That's why you were extremely worried when Jamie got injured during a game. He was bummed that he wouldn't be playing for the next couple of weeks, but once he was feeling better, he decided that he'd actually go to a Stars' game and watch them play. Fortunately for you, he invited you to tag along.

You accepted the invitation immediately, "I'd love to go!"

It's a date, you thought. A best friend date.

You and Jamie would go on "dates" like this regularly.

Despite Jamie's minor pains he was having, the two of you were having a blast at the game.

During a stoppage of play, you watched the jumbo-tron as it played one of your favorite parts of the game; the kiss cam. You and Jamie watched as couples that were shown either hesitated or didn't care and smooched their loved one. There was one couple that was shown and they hesitated. After a few seconds, the woman mouthed the words, "No, he's my brother!"

You bent over, holding your stomach while laughing. You found it so funny and you couldn't stop. Jamie was laughing too, but you were pretty sure that he was just laughing at you or your laugh.

Suddenly, Jamie stopped laughing. You lifted your head to see why and your face immediately turned a bright shade of pink. You realized that you and Jamie were on the kiss cam.

"Well Stars' fans," the announcer started. "Look, it's Jamie Benn and his...girlfriend?"

Just then, you heard some people yelling, "Kiss! Kiss!" Then some other people in your section started to chant. That became the rest of your section. The chanting started in another section, and also went on to another. Eventually, the whole arena was chanting, "Kiss! Kiss!"

You started to feel uncomfortable and embarrassed; you wanted to go away for a little while. But before you could do that, Jamie took you by surprise, grabbed your face and kissed you. It was a passionate kiss too.

The whole arena cheered. You were extremely shocked and still a little embarrassed. After awhile, the ref finally dropped the puck. "Jamie, you didn't have to do that, you know," you managed to say.

"Y/N, I love you. I have for awhile now. I've been keeping it to myself for so long because didn't want to ruin our friendship. I just wanted you to know. And now was the perfect time, so yeah. Please don't hate me..." he rambled on.

"I love you too, Jamie!" You interrupted. "I have for a while, too."

"That's great. Will you be my girlfriend, please?" He questioned with that cute smile of his.

"Definitely," you answered happily.
