Finally, summer came to an end. You always like the start of fall because that meant hockey season was closer. No matter what season it was, though, you loved being able to be with your boyfriend, Brendan Gallagher. You loved him so much.

It was the first day of training camp for the Montreal Canadiens. You were able to go watch. It was great to see the whole team together again. After today's activities, you stood by the locker room waiting for Brendan to come off the ice. As you were waiting, someone familiar starting talking to you. "Hi, Y/N." It was Alex Galchenyuk. "Long time no see, eh? You taking good care of Gallagher?"

"I'm trying my best!" You say. Just then you hear Brendan's voice.

"Dude," he pushes Alex out of the way. "Stay away from my girl!" Aww, he's so cute when he gets jealous  you think to yourself. "Hey, babe."

"Hi," you smiled. Even though he was all sweaty, you gave him a hug. "You looked good out there, today."

"No," he smirked. "I looked great! Awesome!" You laughed. He always knew how to make you smile. "So, I was thinking, after I get dressed, do you wanna go skating?"

"Now? Like, today? I don't know, I haven't been on skates in awhile." You say.

"It'll be fine," he assures you.

"Well, it'd probably help if I had skates and this time I don't. Sorry." You honestly didn't want to skate just because you were afraid you would fall.

"I kid you not. I bought a pair for you as an early birthday present. You're going skating with me." He kissed your head and headed into the locker room. You sat on the bench waiting for him to come out.

Sure enough when he came out, he was holding your skates. He handed the box to you, and you opened it up. Once you saw them, your mind changed. You wanted to go skating. You quickly laced both of your new skates up as Brendan watched you. "Those are really special," he said.

"Yes. Thank you."

"No, I mean look," he pointed to the skates.

"8-9-13? That's our anniversary date."

"Yeah, and look at the other one." The other one had your initials on it, except your last initial was a G.

"I love it, but my last name doesn't start with a G," you say, confused. Then, Brendan picks you up and skates to center ice. He sets you down, letting you hold your balance on your own.

He pulls a small black box out of his pocket and gets down on one knee. You knew what was going to happen and your were shocked.

"Y/N, these past two years have been the best two years of my life. That's because you're in it. Whenever I'm not feeling well, you're always there to cheer me up. I'm glad I get to call you mine. But, I'd like to call you mine forever. Will you marry me?" Your eyes were full of tears, happy ones.

"Yes yes yes!" You say as he picks you up and kisses you. As he puts you down, the whole team skates on the ice, hollering. They scare you, and you loose you balance. You lay on the ice bringing Brendan down with you.

You kiss once more. "That's why there's a G on your skate."
