Joey's POV
I wake up in the morning, groaning. My face hurts and I realize I fell asleep with my head on my keyboard, little square shaped marks left on my right cheek. I then realize I fell asleep while editing videos.
Reality hits me and I remember that today the video goes up. Also...it's my birthday. I'm officially twenty-four, and I'm soon to be out as gay. My heart feels as if it might beat out of my chest at any moment, and I have a massive headache. I'll be seeing Daniel today and he'll make it all better.
I check the time and realize it's already 12:30 and I haven't even showered yet! I hurriedly go to the shower, stepping in after ripping off my clothes from the previous day. The warm water hits my skin, small beads of water all along my body. The entire time, Daniel is on my mind, and I feel the water getting cold. I quickly hop out of the shower, wrapping a soft towel around my bottom half, hanging low.
Just as I'm about to enter my room, I hear the sound of my doorbell ringing.
"Shit." I curse quietly, running towards the door in only a towel. I quickly turn the door knob, only to reveal and gorgeous brown haired boy. Daniel. His eyes rake down my body and I can't help but feel self-conscious. His perfect lips form a slight smirk and I feel a blush creep upon my cheeks.
"Hey, Joey." He laughs, winking. My face turns an even brighter red.
"Hey! Um...sorry about my...apparel. I woke up a little late." I apologize, but he just laughs it off.
"Oh no need to apologize. It's completely fine." He tells, flashing me a grin and a wink. I invite him in and he takes a seat at the table.
"I'll just be a few minutes," I say before running to my room. I immediately rip off my towel and throw on a pair of boxers. I then grab a pair of dark skinny jeans and a light blue tank top. I quickly dry and style my hair, almost tripping over my feet as I run to the kitchen table. Daniel looks up from his phone as I walk in, and I smile at him.
"Where are we going?" I ask, putting on a pair of shoes.
He smirks, whispering in my ear, "It's a surprise." before planting a soft kiss on my lips and leading me out the door.
