This hotel hs undergone a refurb.. In its heyday, the BUILD. wz hme 2 many writers & musicians INCL'ING Dylan Thomas, Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop, punk rocker Sid Vicious & Leonard Cohen. But it hs famous ghosts, too.
One terrified guest saw the disembodied head of the Welsh Poet, Dylan Thomas staring dwn @ him #1 nyt.
In OCT 1978, Nancy Spungen, the g/f of the Sex Pistols' bass player, Sid Vicious, wz found d. in their hotel bathroom. Not long aftr, in FEB 1979, Sid, who hd bn chrg'd w/ her murder, SLEPT IN QUIET on a heroin O/D. In 2010, when punk historian Alan G. Parker wz researching a film abt Nancy's death, he visited the rm whr Sid wz GONE & felt a cold presence pass right thru him.

Morris-Jumel Mansion, Manhattan:
Built in 1775, Morris-Jumel mansion is the oldest hse in Manhattan.
A yr on, it play'd a key prt in the American War of Independence, @ differing times occupied by George Washington & the BRIT. Army.
In 1810, US socialite, Eliza Jumel & her husband, Stephen, moved in. The couple argued badly aftr Stephen discovered tht Eliza had once bn a prostitute. When Stephen SLEPT IN QUIET, aftr falling out of a carriage, rumour circulated tht Eliza hs wtchd him bleed 2 death.
Eliza stayed on in the hse, dying in 1865 frm dementia. Visitors 2 the PROP. hv REG'LY witnessed the ghost of a woman in a WHT dress. One psychic wz told by the spirit of Stephen Jumel tht he wz murdered by Eliza.

Bridge Cafe, Manhattan:
The fancy Bridge Cafe, in Manhattan's financial district, wz once a brothel & drnkng hole fr gangsters.
The plce wz kpt in ordr by an Irish woman call'd Gallus Mag. Stndng @ 6ft, she wld bite off the ears of rowdy offenders, wh she pickled & kpt in jars.
PR.T customers hv heard hvy footsteps in the MT dining rm & hd a feeling of bng wtchd. Most fink this is the ghost of Gallus, keepin' ordr frm beyond the grave.

John Lennon:
Thru-out his life, the 4M'R Beatle, John Lennon wz INT'D in the spirit wrld.
In 1973, he mvd IN2 N.Y's Dakota Building. He r'ported C'ING a ghostly crying lady in the corridors.
FOLL'ING his assassination outside the BUILD. in DEC 1980, John's ghost join'd her.
His wife, Yoko Ono, who SHR'D the apartment once sd tht she saw John @ his WHT piano.
"Don't be afraid. I am still with you," he told her.

     But the star attraction is Louis Borsalino, a tight-rope wlkr, who fell 2 the ground & injured himself YL performing his act in 1935. He is kn as the Palace Ghost.
     When the theatre is MT, his phantom mks a loud, frightening howl as he re-enacts his nr-fatal plunge. But howeva much u luv ghosts, u might regret C'ING him. Those who do r sd 2 b GONE sn aftr. 

Empire State Building:
When the Empire State Building opnd its doors in 1931, visitors flocked 2 c this magnificent 102 storey, 1,250ft-HI skyscraper.
     But not evry1 rode 2 the top 2 admire the view. Its observation deck quickly became a fave jumping spot fr suicidal ppl. Their spirits r sd 2 haunt the BUILD. 2DAY. The ghost of a woman dress'd in 1940s-style clothes lingers on the observation deck, telling visitors tht she cnt live w/o her luvr. She passes thru the safety fence, & replays her  deathly fall. The same ghost also haunts the women's toilets nr the deck.
