Chapter 9

"I know.. He's a lot calmer, and he doesn't even seem to care that you nearly killed him." I replied.

"It's like he's back to the guy he was before the apocalypse." He stated.

I nodded, "but something's off about him."

Rick nodded, pushing a shovel into the ground.

"I'm sorry about what I said that night up in the watch tower." He replied.

"It's fine. I understand how you feel." I replied.

I stood back, leery of the woman who was just coming to.

She was outside the fences, she had formula, and then she just passed out.

My eyes widened as Rick grabbed her thigh where a wound was, ordering her to tell us how she got here and why she had formula.

I walked a few steps forward, her eyes landing on me.

My breath hitched in my throat, listening as she released the information that Maggie and Glenn were being held hostage by a guy named Merle, who also lives at Woodbury and is Daryl's brother.

"Where's Woodbury?" Rick asked.

"I know where it's at. I'll come." I answered.

"No. You're hurt and you're staying here." Rick replied.

"No. I'm coming, I don't care what you say." I fired back.

"Just let her go, we're wasting time." Daryl stated.

"I need to get Shane out of there." I stated.

"If he's smart he'll stay inside." Rick mumbled.

"No, Phillip makes him do what he does. He won't have a choice to fight back." I replied.

"If he loves you, he wouldn't should at us." He replied.

I mentally rolled my eyes, continuing to walk behind Woodbury.

I held the AK47, ready to shoot if need be.

It's untelling what they've done to Maggie and Glenn.

I jumped, Rick throwing a smoke bomb into their little arena where they have actual fights to death.

"Get down!" Rick hissed, pulling me down with him.

"Dammit, Rick!" I cursed, a pain shooting through my stomach.

I heard screams from inside Woodbury, wondering if Shane was okay.

Cringing, gun shots began going off while Daryl and Rick ran in to get Glenn and Maggie.

Seeing Maggie come out of the smoke, I ran to her, and helped her back to the vehicle.

I ran back into Woodbury, some teenager aiming a gun at Rick.
