Erik turned around to a tap on his shoulder. Deryll had an eyebrow raised and was gesturing behind him, towards the door. A girl was slipping out. He just caught a glimps of her blond hair and slight frame before she was gone.
"She looked an awful lot like young Sonea," Deryll said.
"What?" Erik strode to the door before even finishing the word.

"Sonea!"
She jumped and stopped her B-Line at the sound of her name—the timbre of the voice brought a flush to her cheeks; she recognized it instantly. Heart pounding, she slowly turned to face him.
Erik. He was taller now, and more muscular than she remembered... And he had a beard. She couldn't stop a small smile at that. It looked good on him... She quickly realised she was staring and snapped out of it.
"L-long time no see," she said, glancing at the ground and back up to him... then back at the ground.
  "Sonea—How are you?"
He seemed a little shocked. She wasn't sure how to answer...
"I'm alright," she said with a small smile.
She hoped he wouldn't start asking to many questions... to much pain there.
"I heard... about what happened. Sonea—"
She ran.
