Start from the beginning

I rolled my eyes and said while throwing a pillow at him

"It took you that long to figure out, Kevin."

He picked up the pillow and threw at me...It nailed me right in the head by the time the pillow fell from my head he was already out of the room. I can hear him laughing while running down the hallway leaving my bedroom door opened. I groaned while getting up from my comfortable bed to slam the door but, not before a foot from nowhere stopped it. I sighed and said while running a hand thru my hair being annoyed by people already

"Okay, yes, who else need me right now?"

I opened the door to see it was Dexter...he stared at me with this look in his eyes. That was enough to make me melt on the spot under pressure, he said while rubbing the back of his neck just breaking the gaze between us when, he looked at the ground then, back at me again

"I came up here to apologize to you... I don't want you to be upset with me over that...that guy! You know what's right from wrong!"

I turned my head from him then said softly while, looking down at the floor

" What are you guys hiding from me? If you think about hiding this in the dark from me is easier? Your wrong! It's just going end up hurting me in the end, Dexter."

He sighed and said while, grabbing a hold of my chin gently turning my head from looking away from his gaze back into it once, again.

"Look! It's not like I don't want you to know what is going on with Arnold. But, I rather keep it a secret from you because, I don't want you to be hurt."

I was really lost in his gaze. I can see in this eyes that he is deeply hiding a secret from me... And everyone else. Yet, this is the same eyes that I look into that shows a sign of caring. I guess I was staring to long or hard because, he turned on the charm by giving me his infamous smirk that can make a girl forget everything. He said

" Promise me that you'll keep your distances from Arnold and his gang, please."

I let out a sigh, not realizing that I was holding my breath. I said while moving my head from his hold that drove me crazy.

"Sure, I'll try!"

He gave me a huge smile and grabbed me into an unexpected hug. I bet my cheeks are red because, I can tell I'm blush. Just from his warm embrace and him gently rubbing his hands up and down my back.

It was making me feel weak in this hug. I just sighed while, giving him the same embrace as well just more shyly. I couldn't help but to compare dexter's hug to jeremy's. I sighed while, slowly pulling my head away from his shoulder. I soon pulled away from the embrace and just did something completely out of my character...I kissed his cheek...the closet part on his cheek to next to his lips. I pulled away to see him standing really surprised. I said while, taking a giant step back into my room

"Well, thank you for apologizing and ummm.. Good night, Dexter. I'll see you tomorrow at school."

With that farewell, I grabbed a hold of my door and shut it. No forgetting the look on his face when, I pecked his cheek. I was secretly smiling about that... Then, something completely caught me off guard when, I seen Jeremy at the top of the stairs with a big bowl and my guess was popcorn...then, his stunned face when, I completely pulled away from Dexter then retreated back to my room. I noticed one thing about him...his face was stunned but, his eyes say something else! I know I barely noticed him being there but, I can tell when something is wrong with Jeremy! I leaned against my closed door just thinking about that...

I wander if his angry or was that jealousy I seen in his eyes. I laid my head back against the door staring at the window across the room thinking. Why would he be jealous of me giving Dexter a goodnight peck on the cheek. I mean come on...I'm a bookworm! I'm a geek! And most importantly I'm just a plain out nerd! I let out a long sigh and got up when, I heard a knock on my door. I opened it to see no one but, a note that says 'Goodnight, Gwen!' taped on my door.
