The sun had set by the time Yumi pedaled home on her red bike. Her route had once again passed by the convenience store where Ryan worked at. The tanned man was the only employee left there, at least until his replacement shift would arrive within the next hour.
From his place behind the counter, he spotted her out of the windows he tirelessly made an effort to keep clean. Even at this time of day, her hair caught the starlight, and she was no less beautiful than she was during the day. Even in the dark, she shone with her own special luminescence, one which could not be seen by the eyes of just anyone.
Ryan sighed to himself and faced forward, losing himself in his solitary thoughts.
