Roots

Everyone is a tree

But a tree is not strong without its roots

I am a tall tree with glorious branches and fabulous leaves

But that's all thanks to my roots

My friends, my family, the ones I love, are all supporting me

Without my roots

I wouldn't really be me

Without them

I would be diminutive and small

I look towards the sky

Thanks to thee

The roots to me

You are one of my roots

And I really do believe

That all of us are trees

But it's harder to be roots

Roots that no one will see

And that no one will acknowledge

But you are important

You are important for your tree

For you friends, your family

Be the roots

Be the sturdy tree
