The Storm

29 8 1

The wind blew

And the doors slammed

The windows were locked

As she sowed her life shut

The walls were thick

And she could not hear

Her sisters and mother calling her dear

The rain poured outside

And her eyes would not dry

More blankets she brought

But she still felt the cold

The chill of death coming close

The tree branches broke

And so did her smile

She tried to choke

She tried to die

But before her time

The storm blew away

The air warmed

And her heart shined

The windows were opened

And she could see

The beautiful rainbow everyone needs to see
