"What's so special about this kid, anyway?"

"Shh!"

"Sorry,"

"I would tell you, but he's here. He doesn't need to know,"

"He's not going to remember it anyway."

"I suppose so.."

Luke's POV:

(Wha?! Since when is Luke in this story? Oh, wait.. I put him in.. XD jk)

I finished up organizing my locker for the fifth time and sighed. Evan and I are locker buddies, unfortunately. Yet, we don't even have close last names. Evan's very neat...I'm not really. What I meant by organizing is completely different then his way. Yeah. I'm kind of messy.
I suddenly saw Evan go through the locker and get his stuff. He had this stupid smile on his face. And he didn't even seem to care about the mess I made, he usually freaks out. He was about to walk off when I stopped him.

"Why are you so fucking happy?" I chuckled.
He turned to me and shrugged,
"I don't know.."

I could obviously tell he was lying. Evan's very quiet about his personal life, but he'll share it with me from time to time. He's also very rarely happy. He's just either sad or neutral.
I glared at him. He giggled a little bit and gave up.

"Fine. I met this guy. His name's Delirious,"
"Oh, that weird new kid with the mask?"
"He's not weird! I mean, he's a bit odd, but in a way. He's different," he said a bit offended.

I smirked a bit, "Sounds like you like him,"

He immediately frowned and heated up.
"No! I don't! It's not like that.. It's just.. He makes me happy.. You know.. No ones ever really made me happy, besides you since ..you know.."

I forgot about that..

"I'm just teasing. Are those rumors true?" I ask.
"What rumor?"
"The one about him being a robot," I joke, not expecting Evan to get in serious thought.

"Um.. I don't think so.. But he asks a lot of questions and talks very smart. Like..like he has no emotion to show. I guess you could say he's very serious?" He tried to explain.

I raise an eyebrow, "well, whatever you say,"

He stayed silent after that and started going in his imagination land. He zones out a lot. I don't mind it much. I know he's thinking. I remember interrupting him once, he was not happy. But he wasn't angry either. He just made me feel bad. I don't like that feeling.
I just shook my head and let out a small sigh, smiling at him. He is very ambitious. And that's what is funny about him. I closed the locker and waved goodbye, leaving him in his thoughts. I chuckled to myself at Evan. It's good to see he's making friends.

--

After class, I headed towards my locker and saw Evan had rearranged it again. Might as well give up. I waited for Evan to show up, but he didn't. I decided to just leave without him. I grab my phone and start scrolling through pictures on Instagram. I didn't pay attention to where I was walking and bumped into someone.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't looking on where I was going," I say and look up to see the new kid.

"It's quite alright, I apologize too. What's your name?" He said. Evan was right, he was very formal in a way.

"It's Luke, but you can call me Cartoonz," I smile.

I didn't see if he smiled back because of that weird mask, but usually I can tell by the way their body is. But I couldn't, it was as if he couldn't show it.
