There's something wrong between Ross and Hailey, I feel it. Well, actually I think everyone does. Their relationship improved, but now it's even worst than before. They didn't talk to each other the whole day. And when I say don't talk, it's not at all. Not a word. Well Ross try some things but they don't work...

It's patrol day today, and everyone is a bit edgy. Fortunatly the day is almost over. With a glance, I see Ross who get closer to Hailey.

"Your... Your tag is..." He mutters.
Hailey removes his hand, puts it back herself and goes away from my brother, without forgeting to give him a furious look. Ross, as for him, stops moving and looks at the ground, upset. I walk to him.

"Hey Ross, what happened, last evening?" I whisper putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't want to talk about it."

"You'd feel better after."

"I don't think so." He coldly replies. And as Hailey did, he removes my hand and goes away. I catch him up.

"I'm serious Ross."

"So I am."

"Ross..." I insist.

"Okay, fine, you wanna know what happened? I tried to kiss her, she slapped me, and left me alone, stood like a dumb behind the barn. And you know what? The pain on my cheek was nothing compared to the way she looked at me. This, this was the worst. She hates me okay? So now get off my back and let me live my life."
He glares at me and goes away next to Ryland.

Woa.

I knew there was something wrong... My little brother fell for her, and he's now heartbroken.
No wonder why they are both irritant today...

Since Ross is sulking, I decide to join Rydel.

"What are we doing now?"

"We go in there."
She points a building in front of us. A 5-star hotel.

"Isn't risky?"
I remember too well what happened the last time I went into this kind of building. We lost Rocky. And I don't want to lose anyone else.

Rydel seems to read my thoughs because she smiles at me, trying to reassure me.

"Don't worry, everything'll be fine. We're 5 and armed to the teeth."

"If you say so..."
My sister calls the others who are dawling a bit, they arrive on the run. Ross and Hailey standing at each other as far as possible of course.

"Listen guys, we're going to go into this hotel, behind me."
Ross' eyes widens. He probably thinks like me. I try to reassure him with a look, but he avoids me.

"In there?" Ryland frowns.

"If there's nothing, fine. If they're too numerous, we go out. Okay everyone?"

It's feasible. Infecteds don't fear the light of the sun, but some are more sensitive than the others. Usually, these ones stay in buildings, in the dark. Let's admit that they attack us, we go outside and in accordance with logic, they won't follow us.

We all nod and get our weapons out, ready to use them. Hailey passes first. She seems to be the only one not worried. Knowing her, she probably wants to hit something who isn't my brother. I glance around me.

At least, this hostel looks more resistant and more maintained that the last one. It looks like there's nothing in there. Let's hope.

The hall is huge, full of tiny couchs and easy chairs with tables. There's two staircase in each side of a landing, that looks more dilapidated than downstairs. Not a good sign.
