Eros and Sicily, Pt 3

"But I don't want you getting hurt, Eros."

"Well.... Fine. I'll be in back."

Alice finished with, "Alright then, I'll be center and switch out with Totodile every so often. Is everyone alright with that?" A collective nod. "Then let's get going!"

Alice started heading down the left passageway, Sicily flying overhead, following the odd forest path and going around a few bends. From behind one of the corners, a tall Azumarill came forth and blocked the path down the hall. It had a glazed look in its eyes, with such a position as to even expose some of the whites of its eyes. It made a small whisper, "I can hear you breath."

It was instantly met with a Dragon Breath from Sicily, the purple spray burning the Azumarill and fanning out around it. In response, it fired a jet of water at Sicily; But, as for having to account for an arc and trajectory, the spray fell just under Sicily. Totodile continued the attack by ramming the creature backwards, after which Alice jumped over and used Quick Attack on the stumbling bunny, knocking it to its back, similar to the combination used in the bell tower. It was out before Eros had to react.

Totodile dragged the creature to the side and said, "I hope this isn't one of those overpopulated dungeons. The Pokemon generally aren't as strong, generally, but there are just so many... Ugh."

The party continued to take a few more twists and turns before Totodile put his hand up, whispering, "Stop!"

Alice responded in an equal whisper, "What is it?"

"The room's full of Pokemon. We'll have to run through and lose them."

"Should we just go back?"

"No, I think both paths lead here."

"What makes you-" Alice was interrupted by a Swellow from above who started crying wildly as it saw the party.

"Intruders! INTRUDERS! Intruders by the door! Get them!"

Totodile started running through the room as an army of vines rose from the ground, dancing around before almost hitting him. This was followed by Alice and Sicily overhead, the latter firing Dragon Breaths as she flew by. Both managed to avoid fire just as well. Finally, Eros ran through, stumbling on the vines that started growing about him. As he ran, he caught a glimpse of all sort of Pokemon around, from Wingulls to Nuzleafs to even a Buizel, all using either water or grass to attack him. He was too slow to avoid many of the attacks, causing him much greater trouble than he expected.

As he ran, he soon tripped over a vine, not even halfway through the room. A shout from Totodile from across the room urged him to come forwards, and just because he said to come over Eros changed his mind about not succeeding at that and made a brisk jog to make up for his mistake. Oh, wait, that doesn't work. Sometimes people think the dumbest things will work, like telling someone to do something they are already doing. I mean, really?

Eros was tripped by a vine or something- gah, Totodile is so infuriating. Eros looked around as all of the Pokemon from the dungeon gathered around him, blocking his view from the party. 'Oh, gods, what do I do?' Eros though for a second and saw about the entirety of the Pokemon prepare to attack him again, vines starting to rise all around him. He waved his finger in front of his face. Nothing happened. 'Well, I guess I can't use metronome.'

Eros thought quickly, remembering he had some level of magical ability. He felt for his power and drew it out once more, commanding it to destroy all the light it could. Just as all of the Pokemon were about to release their attacks, their visions went black. Eros had cast darkness, effectively blinding everyone in the room, including himself, and making their visions fill with darkness. He quickly scrambled forwards, feeling a rush of water graze past his ear, leaving him with a small burning sensation of sorts. All of the attacks were aimed at where he was before he cast the darkness, just narrowly missing him. He ran forwards blindly, hoping to find the exit. He ran into a fleshy wall of sorts, obviously a Pokemon. He punched it and ran around it, still trying to keep a sense of direction, the only indicator of his success being the ever increasing of Alice's, Totodile's and Sicily's cries.
