Chapter 11

We drove into town in Zoe's little mini. We sung Les Miserable in the car. I loved that film. The music was beautiful and the storyline was interesting. I felt more comfortable with them when we arrived in town. We went to River Island first and Zoe explained on the way that Dan and Phil had given some money to them and Zoe and Louise had both added some so I had lots to spend. They never told me how much though. There was some gorgeous stuff in River Island. I ended up buying some denim ripped skinny jeans, a white floaty top and a pair of blue denim dungarees. Afterwards we went off to New look where I bought a black and white stripy crop top, a pair of blue denim high waisted shorts and white denim high waisted jeans. We then went into H+m, JD, Miss Selfridge, Primark, Topshop and debenhams before taking a break. We shuffled into Starbucks lugging all our bags behind us. We took a window seat overlooking a river. I admitted to them that I'd never had a Starbucks before. They suggested drinks which all sounded delicious. In the end I settled for a mango and pineapple fruit cooler. It was amazing. We munched on cookies and muffins then set out again. We pasted Claire's and we went inside. I saw a girl having her ears pierced and from what her ears looked like it wasn't her first. She had at least four earrings in one ear. My hand went up to my ear and felt the holeless skin. I wandered around the earrings looking and touching every pair I liked.
"Would you like to get your ears pierced?" Zoe whispered to me. My eyes lit up.
"Yeah!" I said.
"We texted Dan to check and he said they're alright with it" she replied. We went and sat me down on the chair. I'd chosen some little pure studs. Looking at the gun it looked pretty terrifying but Louise and Zoe each held one of my hands and I closed my eyes as I felt the gun around my ear. I didn't even realise they'd done it until my ear suddenly went a little heavier. I opened my eyes and saw the girl replacing the gun with another earring and moving towards my next ear. I didn't close my eyes for this one. It was over within five seconds.
"So?" Louise said helping me off the chair.
"I didn't feel a thing" I said admiring my new earrings in the mirror. I chose five more pairs of earrings and a little white love heart stand to put them in.
"Have you ever thought about wearing make up?" Zoe asked as we exited the store.
"Yes but I don't have anything decent" I said. They took me to boots and we got some really cool stuff. Zoe promised me she'd teach me how to put it on properly. I got rimmel wake me up concealer and the stay matte foundation, I also got two baby lips, two Tanya burr lipglosses  and nail polishes because I'd always wanted some. I got a 'naked' eyeshadow palette and mascara.

We jumped back in Zoe's car and I was surrounding by a sea of bags from different places. One from River Island, two from New look, one from h+m! three from Primark, two from top shop, and of course my bag from Claire's. I'd even got two new pairs of trainers. They we're a pair of white converse and a pair of black Adidas gazelles with white stripes.

When we got home Dan and Phil greeted us. They were stunned with how much we'd got.
"Come on then I want a fashion show" Dan said giving me a little spin.
"As yeah that'd be awesome!" Louise said "we'll go in the living room and I'll dj and Zoe can narrate and Sophie is our star model"
"Yeah!" I said excitedly. I dragged my bags to my room and began to get changed.
"Bloody hell Phil, you nearly cut off my toe!" I heard Dan yelled. I giggled to myself and I put on my blue denim jeans and white top from River Island, my new black heeled boots from new look and my leather jacket from debenhams. I heard more crashing and swearing from Dan.
"Jesus Christ, what the bloody hell was that?"
"Sorry, I dropped a mug" Phil yelled, I laughed again. I put my hair in a pony tail and nodded to Zoe who was stood at the bottom of the hallway. I heard music start up and I walked out of my room. I went into the living room and it was completely transformed. The lights were off but there were fairy lights lining a 'runway' across the floor. The sofa was turned facing the door in front of the fire place. Dan and Phil were curled up on the sofa with sat sat with one of their recording microphones held close to her mouth. Louise was sat on the floor playing cool music. I entered the little runway and started walking down it normally.
"You have to strut your stuff!" Dan called clicking his fingers sassily. I laughed and did a little twirl as I reached the end of the runway.
"Sophie is wearing blue denim jeans and a white top from River Island, black suede high heeled wedded shoes from New look and a leather jacket from Debenhams. Also notice her purple earrings from Claire's"
I walked back into my room and got changed quickly into my white jeans and black and white stripy top and new Adidas gazelles. We repeated this over and over until I had worn all of my new clothes. Zoe helped me put them away as Louise, Dan and Phil out the living room back to normal.
"Want me to teach you how to use the make up?" She asked when we were done.
"Yeah!" I said earlerly. We sat at my new vanity and she told me what to do and what to use and where to use it. When I was done I loved it. I went out to show the others. They loved it too.
