Chapter 1

I wore a simple grey hoodie and a fitted black shirt inside and just a Ralph Lauren black shorts. I also wore my Balenciaga footwear before I drove to the store.

Pumupuslit din naman ako rito noon kaso minsan lang dahil napapagod akong magdrive. Marami rin naman akong pagkain sa condo kaya wala ring rason para palagi ako rito.

"Hala, ser! Naku, nandito apo ni Ma'am!" Narinig kong sabi agad ng isang staff nang makapasok ako sa loob. "I-ready mo na 'yung isang room para makatambay siya roon!"

"Oh, don't worry. I won't be staying for long. I'll just check the store and stay for about one hour then leave." I smiled to ease the tension in their face.

The other staff straightened her back. "Pwede naman po kayo magpunta roon, ser! Y-you stay t-there! Yes, Yes! Bes, paano ba 'to!" She panicked, seeking for help on her friend.

I chuckled. "Dito na lang ako. Aalis din ako kaagad. By the way, I can understand and talk in Filipino."

Kumuha lang ako ng ilang drinks bago kinuha ang airpods sa bulsa at umupo sa isang bakanteng lamesa sa loob ng convenience store. I also bought some food for dinner before completely settling down.

I just scroll through my tiktok app and read some comments with my latest post. I promised them that I would be having live on tiktok next week once my schedule isn't that tight.

"Nandito na pala si Ruiji, eh. Alis na ako." Narinig kong sabi niya nang saktong tumigil ang kantang pinapakinggan ko sa airpods.

"Magpaalam ka muna, huy! Gagang 'to, nagmamadali, 'te?"

I stood up to throw the plastic bottles and wrapper of the food I ate.

Maglalakad na sana ako ng biglang lumitaw ang isang staff sa harap ko. Bitbit na ang bag dahil mukhang ready na umuwi.

"Ah, ser! Uuwi na po ako. Tapos na kasi shift ko at kailangan ko pa magpahinga para balik ulit ako bukas ng hapon." She scratched her hair, she's obviously shy.

"Yes, you can go. Ingat sa pag-uwi!" I smiled and bid my goodbye before I saw her get out to the store and walk away.

Itinapon ko saglit ang mga basura at babalik na sana ako sa table nang madatnan ko ang pamilyar na mukha.

"Oh, Mr. Guitarist..." A silly smile immediately plastered on his face. "Anong ginagawa mo rito?"

I parted my lips in shock when I really saw him right now. But yeah, ateneo is not that far from here. So I wouldn't be surprise if I saw his fucking face today.

"What?" Masungit na sabi ko. "Hindi naman 'to sa 'yo?" Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay.

"Ops, my bad. Sorry, akala ko kasi akin." He literally pissing me. "Sige, alis na ako."

Umalis nga siya... sa harapan ko dahil nakita ko siyang pumunta sa counter hindi dahil magbabayad siya kundi bilang tagatanggap ng bayad.

Oh, so he's working here...

"Ano naman sinabi mo kay ser?" Matigas na sabi ng isang babaeng staff sa kaniya.

Sumimangot naman ang huli at nilingon ang katabi niya. "Wala, hindi ko naman inaway."

Napangisi ako. Sa susunod na babalik ako rito, maaangasan rin kita. Damn, that smile... it made my blood boil!
