Zoe came in laughing with some dude.

Dude: They come with you?

Zoe: Of course butthole. That's my girlfriend Kodie and that's London and her girlfriend Niyah.

Dude: Well howdy Yall , I'm Travis , Zoe's cousin.

Me: Nice to meet you.

Zoe: Yall lets go into the barn.

Me: Oh no. There's horses in there.

Zoe: Oh I know.

I tried to leave but Niyah and London stood in my way. I turned back around and Zoe stood there with her arms crossed.

Zoe: Let's go. We're just gonna start simple today.

Me: What do you mean by simple.

Zoe: Your just going to pet her , feed her , brush her and walk her as I ride her.

Me: But I'm scared.

Travis busted out laughing.

Travis: She's kidding right?

Zoe: No.

Travis: Oh.

Me: I'm really scared of horses.

Travis: Why? There's nothing to be scared of about them.

We started walking to the barn.

Me: I don't know. I remember seeing this movie where the horse threw this boy off and the boy died.

Zoe: Hey , apples won't do that and I won't let you ride her without me , sound good?

I looked at Travis and he nodded.

Me: Yeah. That sounds good.

Zoe: Good.

She intertwined our fingers and we entered the barn. I saw 6 horses over the stall they were stored in. We went into the last one and I saw this beautiful white horse.

Zoe: This is Apples.

Travis: My horse is across from hers. His name is Buddy.

I looked over and saw a Black horse.

Me: Ones beautiful and ones handsome.

We laughed and Zoe handed me a brush.

Zoe: We're going to start by brushing her.

Me: I can't do this. What if she bites me?

Zoe: She won't. Trust me.

She looked in my eyes and then kissed my cheek.

Zoe: If she bites you , you won't have to come near another horse.

Me: Okay. Deal.

Zoe took me over to the horse as Travis took London and Niyah over to his horse.

Zoe: Okay first , so brush her hair downwards. Like this.

She grabbed another brush and gently stroked her hair.

Me: Like this?

I hesitantly brushed her hair downwards. Apples made a weird noise and I jumped behind Zoe.

Zoe: It's okay. That just means she likes it.

Me: Are you sure?

Zoe: I've had this horse for almost my entire life , I'm positively sure.
