The Ocean

I stare at my feet
Sinking in the sand
And I hear the ocean
It's soft protest

I look at the waves
Hitting the shore
Always condemned
To go back home

The wind is chilly
Leaving goosebumps on my skin
Reminds of the way
You used to make me feel

Now I feel like I'm drowning
In the endless ocean
Trying to find the surface
Of its immensity

Darling, you're like the ocean
You're so cruel and soft
What secrets do you hide
Behind those waves of yours

And you have swallowed me hole
I do not dare to fight
But don't try to save me
Cause I've never felt so alive.
