"Fuck," swore Soobin, panting hard. His breath was ragged and uneven. "C-can we s-stop?"
Yeonjun turned back and looked at Soobin as the man stopped mid-road, his hands on his knees huffing like an old man with arthritis. It had barely been some minutes since they had begun their journey in hunting down a restaurant. While they could've easily used Google Maps to find one nearby, the network range in the area was terrible. Calls were able to go through, texts took a couple of minutes to send but Google Maps? There was no way in hell it was going to load.
"Soobin, come on. You are literally the same age as me, why are you acting like you've never walked a day in your life?"
Soobin wanted to roll his eyes at Yeonjun and comeback with a sassy retort but kept his tongue in check. Right now, he was entirely reliant on Yeonjun. Yeonjun had the money.
And Yeonjun had been dragged into this situation because Soobin refused to the room without a proper shower. So, he was more or less to be blamed in the entire ordeal.
"I'm getting sun poisoned." said Soobin, dramatically pointing towards his arms.
Yeonjun raised his eyebrows and walked over to Soobin. Soobin looked up at him, his hands still on his knees. Yeonjun grabbed Soobin's arm. The both of them felt a small spark go through them.
"Ugh, the static." murmured Soobin.
"Your arm feels cool to touch," said Yeonjun. "Quite contrary to your claims of being sun poisoned. Now, let's go. I'll help you."
Without any warning, Yeonjun slipped his hand from Soobin's arm and grabbed his hand instead.
Soobin wordlessly stared at Yeonjun's back as he walked in the front, his hand connected to Soobin's. Yeonjun's ears were bright red.
Soobin tilted his head in confusion. Wasn't Yeonjun the one getting sun-poisoned?

Beomgyu quickly scrambled to his seat, turning off his mind reading. His heart was beating faster than ever. He didn't even know what should he focus about.
He took a deep breath. He had to calm down. If he continued panicking, there was no way any productive outcome would happen. He had to tackle this situation calmly and in the most rational way possible.
....
But how was he supposed to do that? He had never felt such a situation before and not to boast or anything, but he had a pretty solid career so far. What was that electric shock he had felt? Almost as if there was something in Taehyun's thoughts, in his memories.
Did Kai not do a proper job in erasing Taehyun's thoughts? Well, considering Kai's personality, it must've been a very daunting and emotionally draining task for him so maybe there was some error in it.
Beomgyu shook his head that was a stupid thought process. Memory erasure was something every Amatorian was equipped with and it was not something that was 'increased' with experience.
Beomgyu could come to only one logical explanation for what happened. And it was the worst possible outcome.
Taehyun was going to regain his memories sooner or later.
-------------------------
"Oh my god, finally." said Soobin, tears almost pooling in his eyes. He looked at the tiny roadside restaurant in front of him which looked like the equivalent to paradise to him at the time.
Although Yeonjun found Soobin pretty dramatic, even he had to admit, he was famished and this tiny hut restaurant seemed like a solace.
Someway on their way, the both of them had let go of their hands. It was too hot after all but Yeonjun was the first one to let go as he felt the heat get to him faster than Soobin. He almost wanted to smack himself for being so stupid. He was THE Yeonjun. The man known to break hearts around university and now he was sweating over holding hands.
