Ch. 28

Niall's P.O.V

I stormed out of the room, then just stood in the doorway, watching Nicki. I watched as she lifted Chris into bed, same with Vanessa. 

"Will you tell us a bedtime story?" Asked Kinsey. Odd name, but fun. Nicki chuckled. 

"Let me think. Once upon a time a girl was at home when someone knocked on the door. She went to answer it, but her mother beat her to it. Then, a boy ran in and started eating their food," she pretended to eat Chris, making them laugh. She continued , "now, her cousins from a far away land came and visited." Then she stopped.

"What happened next?" Kinsey asked. Nicki, then, whispered something that was too quiet for me to hear.

"Good night my princesses and knight in shining armor." She said. She quickly tucked them in and kissed each of them on their forehead. She seemed to portray a mother. Right then, I knew she'd be the one I'd marry. No doubt about it.
