When I get to Gabe's house, I see his mom walking over to her car, probably going back to work. "Hello, Kécia! How have you been? I haven't seen you in a while." she says as I approach the house "Hey, Ms. Mathis! I'm good, been a bit busy, I guess. I just came over to see how everything was and check up on Gabe" she smiles and nods "he's up in his room, as always. Feel free to make yourself comfortable. I need to get back to work" she says and I nod before thanking her and walking into the house.
I walk upstairs and gently knock on Gabe's door "What the hell, Mom? I'm fine! Go back to work before they fire you!" He yells, slamming something and I open his door "One, I am not your mother. Two, never speak to your mother like that. She's way too nice for you to give her that kind of attitude. Three, what the hell are you slamming?" I say and he whips around at the sound of my voice before pulling me into his room and locking the door.
