Chapter 3

Tumango-tango ako dahil sa kaniyang sagot. Si Brent pala, ha.

"You know..." agad akong napatingin sa kaniya. "Brent likes you." my eyes widened at his sudden remark. I blinked multiple times as I bowed down.

I sighed. Kaya pala ang lakas ng loob niyang sumabay sa biruan ng mga kaibigan ko dahil... gusto niya rin naman pala talaga ako. But telling him that I already have a boyfriend was an indirect rejection from me.

Now I feel bad.

"He was really upset when you said that... you already had a boyfriend." he said. Muli ay tumingin ako sa kaniya. "But I didn't told him that it was me. That I am the boyfriend you were talking about." he added.

My brows furrowed a little. "Hindi naman kita boyfriend ah. I just told him that so he would stop bugging me." I explained. Ipinagpatuloy ko na lang ang pagkain ko.

He chuckled. "I know."

Habang kumakain ay kung saan saan na rin napunta ang mga pinaguusapan namin. He was full of stories. I actually got to know him more because of our quick conversation. He even told me that he actually plays guitars.

That's like... a big green flag for a man, right? I actually find people who plays guitars quite attractive. Be it boy or girl, I like those who play it. Maybe because I'm musically inclined? I'm not a good singer nor plays any instruments, but I do have a good taste for music. I love music. That's a part of me that no one could ever take.

Madaldal si Archein. I never thought that he could be this talkative. Ang first impression ko nga sa kaniya noong una ko siyang nakita ay masungit. Well, you can't blame me! Mukha talaga siyang masungit. But he's actually not. In fact, he's the opposite. There are no empty and awkward moments with him. Hindi naman siya ganoon ka-daldal but he always fills the gap left for silence. Yet, he never made me feel uncomfortable.

"Archein." I called as I finished eating. Kanina pa siyang tapos kumain pero hindi pa siya umaalis dahil nawiwili yata habang kausap ako.

"Hmm?" her brows shot up.

"Uhm," I bit my inner cheek. "Thank you... for today." Halos dumugo na ang loob ng pisngi ko dahil sa pagkagat ko rito. I was trying to suppress a smile, but I failed, miserably.

He smiled back at me. "Thank you, too." he genuinely spoke.

Hindi ko na pinigilan ang sariling ngumiti. I just plastered a wide smile as we both stood up. Sabay na kaming lumabas ng cafeteria at magkasabay na rin kami habang naglalakad patungo sa classrooms namin.

"By the way, if you have time..." I avoided his gaze. Hindi ko alam kung itutuloy ko pa ang sasabihin ko dahil medyo nahihiya ako, but at the same time, I really wanted to. "Can I watch you... play the guitar?" pahina nang pahina ang boses ko.

I never faced him because I was afraid that he might get angry or something because I'm quite demanding. But I was dazed when I heard him giggle.

"Of course. I would like to show you my guitar skills." he said, joyously.

"S-sige." I answered with excitement.

Ngumiti lang siya kaya't napangiti rin ako. Hindi na kami nagtagal pa dahil habang naglalakad kami ay narinig na namin ang pagtunog ng school bell, hudyat na class hours na.

I faced Archein and saw that he was also facing me. I gave him a meaningful look and he seemed to understand what I was thinking about. We both smiled at each other before executing our plan.

Pareho kaming tumakbo.

We were giggling and laughing as we ran towards our classroom. Hindi na namin pinansin ang iba pang mga estudyanteng nakatingin sa amin habang pumapasok na rin sa kani-kanilang silid.
