Chapter 1

She giggled. "Distracted? Kanino? Galing doon sila Brent ah." she playfully raised her brows continuously, teasing me.

"Uy, Brent pala, Harley ah." si Glazine, isa pa sa teammates ko, nakikisakay rin sa pang-aasar.

A crease was suddenly formed in my forehead. Umismid ako nang mapagtantong inaasar nila ako kay Brent.

"Feeling ko, crush nito si Brent." Phoebe voiced out, making my head knit more. Tumingin naman ito sa iba ko pang teammates. "Remember their last game? 'Di ba nanood tayo noon, then I noticed how Lay stared at Brent while he was playing."

Nalalaglag ang panga ko. What the heck?!

"Oo! I remembered!" sagot naman ni Kath. "Focused na focused si Ley sa laro. 'Yun pala, sa naglalaro lang naka-focus." Kath gazed back at me as he teased.

Agad na nagsalubong ang mga kilay ko. I do remember what happened when I was watching the game. Pero kabaligtaran iyon ng mga sinasabi nila ngayon.

"Ayie, ikaw Harley ah. Si Brent pala ang target mo." Wen teased while giggling. Maging ang iba sa aking mga teammates ay nakiki-sabay na rin sa pang-aasar sa akin. They were giggling while looking at me funny.

"Anong pinagsasabi ninyo?" I voiced out. "Hindi ko gusto si Brent 'no!" I defended myself.

Well, Brent is no doubt likeable. He's handsome, attractive, he's good at his sport, and I heard that he's also an academic achiever. Kumbaga, full package na. He's really an ideal man for those girls who are looking for a boyfriend.

But for me, nah. I get that he's attractive, but I don't really feel anything about him. I do see him as handsome and attractive but I don't see him more than that. Wala akong gusto sa kaniya.

"'Wag mo na itanggi, Harley." Wen giggled. "Crush mo 'yon, 'no?" she teased.

"Hindi nga!" I answered.

"Weh, kita naman sa mga mata mo na gusto mo siya eh." Kath said. My jaws fell at the level of story making they manifested. Mga story maker 'tong mga 'to! Anong nakikita sa mga mata ko?! I don't even see him as my, well, anything! Wala akong gusto sa kaniya at wala akong planong magustuhan siya!

"Story maker ka, 'te?" I sarcastically answered. But instead of getting offended by my remarks, they all just laughed it off, like I was just playing dumb.

They were laughing while I was rolling my eyes. Nakita ko ang pagtingin ni Wen sa may entrance ng gym kasabay nang maiingay na boses na aking narinig. Wen tapped Phoebe's shoulder and it caught her attention. Wen pointed at the entrance kaya't napatingin doon si Phoebe. Out of curiosity ay napatingin din ako doon.

And there, I saw Archein, Brent, and two other men were making their way inside the gymnasium. Kagaya kanina ay hanggang ngayon ay nagtatawanan pa rin sila. Brent was loudly laughing with the two boys while Archein was just smiling, joining in with their fun.

"Uy, Brent!" Phoebe called that caught the quad's attention. I turned as pale as ghost as she called that name.

I gazed at Phoebe who's now smirking at me. What are you trying to do, Phoebe? Tang ina, ilalaglag mo ba ako?!

Muli akong tumingin kina Brent na ngayon ay nakatingin na rin sa grupo namin. My gaze landed on Archein who was already looking at me while smiling. Sandaling namilog ang aking mga mata nang makitang sa akin siya nakatingin, ngunit agad rin iyong napawi nang kaniyang iniwas ang kaniyang tingin.

"Lugi ka, Brent. Dini-deny ka ng girlfriend mo sa 'min." walang hiyang saad ni Phoebe.

Agad na namilog ang aking mga mata at nalalaglag ang tingin kay Brent. He was now holding a big smirk with his lips while his eyes glistened. He seemed satisfied and amused.
