Faith looked at her, plastered a small smile, and gently nodded. "Of course. Pangarap ko 'to." mahina ang boses niyang saad.
I felt bad for her. This is literally her dream, yet, her own parents are the ones who are blocking her way to achieve it.
"Then fight for it, Faith." Sid encouraged. "I mean, hindi ka pa ba nagsasawa na palagi na lang ang mga magulang mo ang nagdedesisyon para sa 'yo?" she asked meaningfully.
"Ikaw na mismo ang nagsabi, Faith. It is your dream. So why don't you fight for it?" I barged in. I gently placed my hand on her shoulder. "Fight for your dream, Faith. We are not encouraging you to be a rebel, but this is an actual opportunity." dagdag ko.
Faith looked at me, her eyes were teary.
"You have given enough, Faith. Halos lahat ng mga bagay na ginagawa mo ay desisyon ng mga magulang mo. Ayaw mo bang, ikaw naman? Ayaw mo bang unahin naman ang sarili mo? Ayaw mo bang ipaglaban ang pangarap mo?" si Sid.
"Hindi masamang sarili mo naman ang piliin mo, Faith. Walang mawawala kung susubukan mong ipaglaban ang kung anong talagang magpapasaya sa 'yo, Faith." I said, a mental smirk appearing on my lips. Somehow, natatamaan ako sa sarili kong mga salita.
She looked at me, her eyes full of doubt.
She bowed a little. "M-mali ka, Ley. Marami ang maaaring m-mawala." I noticed how a tear fell from her weary eye. "N-natatakot ako, Harley." ang kaninang pinipigilan niyang mga luha ay tuluyan nang kumawala. "What if... What if my parents decide to disown me? Huh?" halata ang takot sa nanginginig niyang boses.
I looked at her as she raised her face. Her lips were trembling, her eyes were bloodshot. My eyes felt teary as I neared her and embraced her.
"You are not alone in this battle, Faith. Natatakot rin kaming mawalan ka ng pamilya, but don't you realize, this is just too much." I said as I hug her. "What if you never try to fight? And your whole life, you'll look back and regret that you only let this big opportunity slip away?"
"Fighting for your dreams will always be worth it, Faith." Sid's emphatic voice shot up. "If your parents cut you off, it'll be their loss, not yours. Sila ang mawawalan ng isang napakabuti at napakagandang anak. And remember, we are here for you. We will always be here for you, Faith. Mahal ka namin." we then felt her body embracing us too.
Walang salita ang namutawi mula sa amin. Pinakiramdaman lang namin ang isat-isa habang ang tanging tunog na namumutawi ay ang mahihinang paghikbi ni Faith.
Nang kumawala kami mula sa pagkakayakap ay pareho kaming tiningnan ni Faith. "S-salamat. Salamat sa inyong dalawa." she smiled. "I'm really lucky that I have you two." she pursed her lips while she looked at us, her eyes glistening.
"Your dreams don't come to you voluntarily, Faith. You have to chase it. Anong silbi ng mga bagay na nakamit mo kung hindi mo ito pinaghirapan at isinapuso?" Sid smiled back at her.
"The path towards triumph will never be easy, Faith. But believe me, everything will always be worth it once you finally reach your dreams." I plastered a genuine smile as I tapped her shoulders. "Tandaan mo na lang palagi na, kapag may time na sa tingin mo ay ang hirap hirap na, o kaya'y tingin mo'y hindi mo kayang malagpasan nang mag-isa, nandito lang kami para tulungan at suportahan ka." I added.
