As the evening wore on, Emma couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. She had noticed the way Valeska's eyes lingered on Alexandru, the small smiles she couldn't hide whenever he was around.

Emma had always been perceptive, and she couldn't ignore the growing attraction between her sister and Alexandru. But as much as it pained her, she knew that she had to be honest with herself and with Alexandru.

Stepping away from the group for a moment, Emma found herself face to face with Alexandru, a nervous knot forming in her stomach.

"Alexandru, can we talk?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Alexandru nodded, concern etched on his face. "Of course, Emma. What's on your mind?"

Taking a deep breath, Emma gathered her courage and plunged ahead. "It's about Valeska," she began, her voice trembling slightly.

"Valeska?" Alexandru repeated, his brow furrowing in confusion. "What about her?"

Emma hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to proceed. But then she reminded herself that honesty was always the best policy.

"I've noticed that Valeska...she's interested in you," Emma admitted, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

Alexandru's eyes widened in surprise at Emma's words. "Interested in me? But...I thought..."

Emma shook her head, cutting him off before he could finish his sentence. "I know what you thought, Alexandru. But the truth is, Valeska has feelings for you. And I don't want you to get the wrong idea."

A wave of realization washed over Alexandru as Emma's words sank in. He had been so focused on his own feelings for Emma that he hadn't stopped to consider Valeska's perspective.

"I had no idea," Alexandru murmured, his voice filled with regret. "I never meant to lead her on, Emma. I'm so sorry."

Emma nodded understandingly, her heart aching for her sister. "I know you didn't, Alexandru. But I just wanted to make sure you knew where Valeska stands."

As they stood there in the quiet corner of the cafe, Emma felt a sense of relief wash over her. She had finally been honest with Alexandru, and now she could focus on supporting her sister through whatever came next.

And as they rejoined the group, Emma couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope stirring in her heart. No matter what the future held, she knew that she had done the right thing by Valeska, by Alexandru, and by herself. And that was all that mattered.
