"Dude, she was so rude," you groan, recapping your nightmarish encounter with a woman in the grocery store. Your four friends are practically peeing their pants over your story, especially Gordie, who is gasping for breath.
"No way that actually happened," he says between peals of laughter.
"It's true, I'm serious," you say, laughing a little yourself. Gordie laughs even harder and can't help but smile even after the moment as passed, thinking of your bright smile and glinting eyes.
