You and your brother [Brother's Name] are notorious in your neighborhood for being all-stars at baseball, and sometimes people from your school will come to watch you play. Right now, the two of you are switching off pitching and batting, with you up to bat and your brother with a ball in his hand.
Chris, Teddy, Vern, and Gordie are at the park as well, playing their own game of catch and occasionally stealing glances at your perfect batting skills and your brother's strong curveball.
A crack of the bat rings out through the park and the four boys stop what they're doing, turning to see that the ball has sailed into a neighbors yard on the opposite side of the park. Chris grins in awe and the two of you lock eyes, and in a burst of cockiness, you wave to the four gaping boys, who all grin and laugh at each other, Chris included.
