You and Teddy are the only ones left awake, and because you're secretly dating, you decide to get out all of your talking for the rest of your trek along the train tracks. The fire is still going and Teddy has a cigarette in his fingers, you laying on your back and staring through the canopy of trees at the star-speckled sky.
"I cherish these moments," Teddy murmurs, attempting to sound wise and sentimental but coming out more goofy and forced. You grin and turn on your side, tilting your head to look at him.
"What? It's true," he says, taking another drag from the smoke. "I really like having time alone with you."
"I'm sure you do," you say, rolling your eyes and laughing a little at his ridiculous comment.
