"Mikey, you know I'm afraid of the dark," you insist, a foot already planted in the bucket.
"Please, we need you!" he cries, anxious.
"Not if I die down here!" you counter.
"Don't say that, never say that. Goonies never say 'die!'" he says with furrowed brows. His determined expression only makes you feel weaker as you avoid his gaze.
"Maybe I don't want to be a Goonie anymore," you mumble weakly, shattering his heart effortlessly.
