The day when Jack finally got to properly travel in time, because according to the Doctor traveling by his vortex manipulator wasn't real time travel, finally arrived a couple days after their movie night. The group landed on an unsuspecting market on some moon, half the moon was in the antigrav section, and the other half wasn't. Jack and Rose spent their time on the moon being annoyingly good at floating around while Ella and the Doctor spent the whole time attached to either one. Rose would laugh out loud every time Jack would float by with Ella, or the Doctor latched onto his back. Just as Jack would laugh when the same happened to Rose, although Ella was probably the easier passenger of the two.

The trouble didn't start until hour two and honestly Ella was disappointed with the time as it usually happened way sooner. The brunette was just about to switch and start checking things out with Rose again when the power went out. The four quickly made their way to the gravity section and while the Doctor immediately started scanning the area for alien technology Rose asked around about the main power station. Jack and Ella started helping the people who were in the antigrav section as the machine keeping the gravity off was spitting out concerning sparks, and some people had fallen. Jack followed Ella through the chaos unfolding around them, she tried not to let her eyes wander as some of the guests to the moon that day didn't survive the fall.

After everything she already sees in her dreams, Ella didn't want to add mangled bodies to that ever-growing list. "Hey, El?' she stopped walking and turned towards Jack, "how often do you have an adventure like last time?"

"You mean the kind where everybody lives? He nodded and she turned back around, "it's rare but like it still happens. A few weeks ago, we actually had an uneventful beach day ... well, I say uneventful ... there was an uprising but only a small one. And no casualties ... well, a statue was torn down, but it was a statue of their president so ha!"

Jack listened to Ella ramble with stifled laughter, which quickly died down when they reached a big group of injured people. Neither of them really had any medical experience but the both of them wanted to help. When they had managed to find a real medical doctor that miraculously was visiting the moon that day with her husband the two were called over to where their Doctor and Rose were. The Doctor had figured out the issue and was working to fix it, "so, no alien interference?" Jack asked.

"Not this time, just overlooked electrical problems." The Doctor mumbled with the sonic screwdriver hanging out of his mouth, when the power was back on the three headed back to the Tardis. Their next adventure after that wasn't so easy, they ended up in 12th century Aleppo where an advanced alien race called the Blitzers tried to sink the country. They had wanted to make the environment habitable for their race to start a colony and ended up causing one of the largest quakes in history. The Doctor didn't spend too much time trying to stop them because they had given up pretty easily once they realized the damage they had caused to the city and the civilians.

The next few months passed in much the same way, every day Jack grew more and more comfortable with the group and before they knew it the newest member of their team was like the Doctor's fellow smart person. Which always amazed Ella about Jack, how he was able to keep up with the Doctor when he started getting technical, sure Rose and Ella had their moments, but Jack was better at the talking. Ella was sure the Doctor was grateful for the change in pace in that he didn't have to stop and explain everything all the time because Jack turned out to be a better Doctor translator than her. Maybe anyone else would have gotten jealous but not Ella, as it was she used to be in an open relationship with her ex-girlfriend, the person she was with when she was sleeping with Darren. The brunette was pretty certain she didn't have a jealous bone in her body which ended up working out well with Jack's constant flirting with the three of them.
