In the morning, Celestine couldn’t wait to share the mysterious encounter from the thrift store with her friends Avi and Sally. With excitement bubbling within her, she hurried to school, her footsteps quickening with every stride. Bursting into the classroom, she spotted Avi and Sally chatting by their desks.

“Avi! Sally!” Celestine called out, breathless with anticipation. “You won’t believe what happened to me kahapon sa thrift store!”

Avi and Sally turned towards Celestine, their curiosity piqued by her urgency. “Bakit? What happened? Tell us everything!” Avi exclaimed, gesturing for Celestine to join them.

Settling into her seat, Celestine launched into her story, her words tumbling over each other in her eagerness to share. “So, I was browsing through the jewelry section tapos nakita ko ‘tong ring,” she began, her eyes alight with excitement.

Sally leaned in closer, her interest piqued. “Oo nakita nga kita kahapon eh, bakit? What happened?” she asked eagerly.

“Well, as soon as I put the ring on, I felt this strange feelling na para bang di ko maintindihan,” Celestine continued, her voice filled with wonder. “It was like the ring was calling out to me, drawing me in with its magic.”

During recess, Celestine’s heart skipped a beat when she spotted the man from the thrift store across the courtyard. Surprised by his sudden appearance, she quickly nudged Avi and Sally, who were chatting nearby.

“Guys, look!” Celestine exclaimed in a hushed tone, her eyes wide with disbelief as she nodded in the man’s direction. “It’s him, yung lalaki sa thrift store kahapon!”

Avi and Sally followed Celestine’s gaze, their eyes widening in surprise as they caught sight of the familiar figure. “Wow, what’s he doing here?” Sally whispered, her brow furrowed in confusion.

“Ewan ko, but it’s definitely him,” Celestine replied, her mind racing with questions. “Should we go talk to him?”

Avi hesitates to nod in agreement. “Let’s wait and see if he notices us first,” she suggested, their curiosity getting the better of them.

As they watched from a distance, the man seemed to be engrossed in conversation with their classmate, Andrew. His gestures drawing the attention of the three girls watching him. Celestine couldn’t help but wonder about his presence at their school and what it might mean for their mysterious encounter at the thrift store.

Later that day, during dance practice, Celestine’s heart raced as she caught sight of the man once again, this time among the members of the choir. Surprised by his unexpected appearance, she momentarily faltered in her steps, her mind buzzing with questions.

As the music filled the room and dancers moved gracefully around her, Celestine’s gaze remained fixed on the man, her thoughts consumed by the mysteries surrounding him. Sensing her distraction, Avi and Sally approached her during a break in the routine.

“Hey, Celestine, okay ka lang ba?” Avi asked, concern etched on her face as she noticed Celestine’s preoccupied expression.

Celestine tore her gaze away from the man and turned to her friends, a perplexed look on her face. “Yes, I’m fine. It’s just… nakita ko siya ulit,” she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

Sally’s eyes widened in surprise. “Yung guy sa thrift store?” she asked, her curiosity piqued once again.

Celestine nodded, her mind racing with the implications of their unexpected encounters.

After practice, she went straight to her apartment while thinking of the sudden appearance of that guy.
