6:15.

Second sighed, dropping his arm. The only one present other than him at the moment was Purple. Speaking of Purple...

Second turned to said person, who was scrolling through something on his phone, not paying a single bit of attention to him. He was about to open his mouth, to say something, but he thought better of it and turned away. Purple looked quite focused...he wouldn't want to distract him from whatever he was doing.

That really reminded him deeply of the nights he had to go through recently. He sighed, the memories twisting bitterly, deep in his mind. Those days, it was absolutely impossible to get any bit of sleep.

How could he, with all those instruments on full volume? His friends wouldn't even turn the noise down either.

The sudden sound of voices and laughter filled his ears, and he perked up, catching sight of four familiar faces. Finally, Second thought bitterly.

"Alright, listen up." Second stated firmly, moving to stand in front of the rest of the group as they assembled in front of him. He tried his best to avert his eyes away from Blue and Green, not able to bear the expressions he'd get if he did.

"We're already a little late-" Second continued.

"That was because of him." Yellow cut Second off, his gaze shifting over to Red, who crossed his arms in response.

Once Yellow was done, Red was quick to open his mouth to retaliate, but a sudden shadow moved across them, catching the twos' attention.

They turned, staring up at Second, who loomed down on them. Immediately they shrank back, and Second cleared his throat, turning back to the group.

"As I was saying..." He shot a reproachful glare at Red and Yellow. "We're a little late, so we've got to get a move on. And that means absolutely no arguing."

Red gave him a look, opening his mouth once more. Sensing this beforehand, as he always did, Second sent him a hard glare, successfully causing Red to shut up.

"We really don't have time for this..." Second sighed, turning to address the whole group once more. He looked exhausted. "Hurry up...we've got a flight to catch."

With that, Second turned and began to walk along the path, his friends hurrying after him.

The walk was full of silence, the group of six feeling awkward next to each other. Things had really changed, and they couldn't help but feel uncomfortable now that things had gotten serious. Not even Red -- who is usually very energetic -- was looking at things optimistically at this point. Although, the cause of this behavior coming from him could very well be because of the little amount of sleep he got the other night before -- he kept waking up in the middle of the night due to his excitement of the many animals he heard -- it was still very unusual and out of character for him.

In fact, everyone in the group seemed exhausted: Second was always exhausted; Yellow and Purple seemed to be trying to do different things to get their mind off of their exhaustion; Red was literally drooping and dragging himself at the back.

After a while, Second stopped the whole group, sighing. Ignoring the looks of confusion he got, he waved his hands to flag down an oncoming taxi, in which the driver fortunately let the group get on board.

Yellow sat in the front next to the driver after a short argument with Second, who reluctantly agreed. In the back was (from the left to the right) Red, Second, Green, Purple, and Blue, crammed into the few seats there. Afterall, a taxi isn't supposed to fit that many people, but the CG made quick work of the problem ("How about two sit on the roof-" [Red]).

Once the CG were fully settled, the driver set off toward the airport. It wasn't even a minute before Second felt a slight extra weight on shoulders. Turning to look, he found that Red and Green, who he sat in between, were now sleeping, leaning against him. He sent Purple a look, who just shrugged in response and returned to his phone. A moment passed. Then two.

Purple could literally feel Second burning two holes into his brain. How could someone glare at someone else so hard?

Yet with this uncomfortable feeling of someone staring deep into his soul, Purple continued to ignore Second's silent request.

Another moment passed...

Second forcefully pushed Green into Purple, still giving Purple a death glare. Fortunately, Purple was able to catch Green and caught himself just in time to not end up pushing Blue into the car door. Completely freaked out, Purple shakily turned back to his phone, thankful that the feeling of a certain someone glaring at him had disappeared.

6:34.

Second woke to the feel of someone shaking him. He sat up, yawning, as he realized that they had finally reached the airport. In one fluent motion, he got out of the taxi and closed the door, moving toward the back of the taxi to open the trunk and receive his suitcase. He was stopped, though, by Red, who pushed his suitcase toward him. He must've retrieved the suitcase before Second awoke.

Taking it gratefully, Second turned to the others as the taxi behind him began to drive away.

"Alright...rules." Second started, sending a glance toward Red. "No running off and away from the group. We always stay together, alright? I do not want a repeat from last time."

He sent a reproachful glare at each of his friends in turn, receiving a few murmured responses of agreement. His gaze lingered on Red, who gave him a nervous smile and agreed hesitantly to not run off.

Deciding to play along, though, Second nodded and pretended to believe him. Of course, he was definitely going to keep a close eye on him anyway. When it comes to Red, you can't really trust him to...keep promises or stay in line.

It wasn't long before the CG was making their way into the airport, traveling easily through the little crowd. Second did have to stop Red once, but fortunately, that was all Red decided to do.

A few minutes later, the CG arrived in line, waiting to board the plane. Nothing out of the ordinary happened, so things were quite relieving, but also quite boring.

They were an adventurous group. Not one that just 'goes with the flow'.

Yet, even with this, still nothing happened. As the CG passed and began to finally board the plane, each and every one of them couldn't help but feel an uneasy feeling. Things had been quite quiet -- a little strange considering the things that had happened recently.

But this little break was refreshing....

So none of them thought more of the situation. None of them decided to question it. It as in 'the calm before the storm'.
