Free verse 2: I am hungry

I am hungry

The pomegranate stains my hand and lips

with ruby red

like blood.

I rip it open with my two human hands

and

rip the seed from its flesh.

Crushing each seed in between my teeth.

I am hungry

I need to eat more

Count the ribs of mine

Cut yourself on the bone

Hungry

Hungry

It kill me

I need more

Count the bones

Watch ant eat

Stain mouth with red
