Rain

I embody the rain,

a gentle percussion on the rooftop's terrain.

Each drop, a serenade,

slides down your window, a liquid cascade.

I gracefully glide

past the warm glow by your side,

the soft radiance of your lamp.

In the ambient hush, a poetic champ.

Clinging to the warmth you emit,

I embrace the journey, a transient visit.

Your fingertips press against the glass,

a tender touch in the liquid mass.

I linger, a moment frozen in time,

captured in the rhythm of a poetic rhyme.

Droplets dance in the celestial ballet,

a silent ballet on this tempestuous day.

But alas, my grip loosens, I slip away,

a transient waltz, a raindrop ballet.

In the ephemeral dance, a fleeting chance,

to touch your world, in this raindrop trance.
