I was listening to music when Talking To The Moon by bruno mars came on, so long story short, i got this idear and cried for a sec but ya. So sad johnny imagine ahead, hope it has a happy ending;)

YOUR POV.

You sat next to johnny in the lot. You were listening to music on your phone and your favorite sad song came on.

" 'I know you're somewhere out there
Somewhere far away
I want you back...
I want you back...' " you started to sing along.

Johnny hummed along too. But the song gave you depressing thoughts. What if you lost johnny or he lost you? Now all you could picture is you talking to the moon, trying to reach him. You cuddled close in his arms and wiped your eyes.

"Whats wrong [Y/N]?" he asked frowning and pulling you closer.

"It's just... What if we ever lost each other?" you asked sadly. He smiled sadly.

"I'll make a deal- whenever you're feeling lost or need me, jus' sing this song and I'll come to you." he promised.

You nodded and hugged him tight, singing along with the song again.

" 'I sit by myself

Tryin get to you.
In hopes you're on the other side
Talkin to me too.
Or am i fool?

Talkin to the moon. ' " you both sang quietly in unison.

"You have a beautiful voice." he commented.

"Thanks johnny. You do too." and he was a good singer.

Better than the rest of the gang at least. He was good though, so you would stick with that.

TIME SKIP:::

You stood next to johnny in the hospital. He was dying. He had broken his back saving children from a fire and had been badly burnt. No one was here yet. He looked over at you as you held his hand lightly.

"I need you johnny. I-im lost without you." you whispered and pony and dally came rushing in the room.

"Hey johnnycakes." pone said.

"H-hey..." johnny weezed. He started to fade.

You decided to hum.

" ' I know you're somewhere out there
Somewhere far away.
I want you back...
I-i need you back... " you couldn't finish because johnny layed back.

"Stay g-gold pony... [Y/N]... Say hi to the moon for me." he said and with that he was gone.

His head sunk in the pillows and the grip on your hand was lost.

"Johnny? No no johnny! I need you! Can't you see? Im lost! " you said your voice getting louder.

Dally slammed against the wall and walked out. You tried not to loose it but couldn't stop. You sat in the chair and gripped the sides with all your strength, some sounds and words were said but you couldn't hear anything.

"Johnny.... Please!" you cried loudly. A nurse came rushing in and escorted you and pony out of the room.

"H-hes gone pone... Gone!" you cried on his shoulder. He hugged you tightly and walked you back to the curtis house.

**It's been 3 weeks**

Dally was in the bathroom doing God knows what now. Sodapop and steve were making an effort to play cards but ended up soaking them with tears. You stared blankly at your dinner darry had made and pony sat across from you with homework and his plate.

"Aren't ya gonna eat?" darry asked wiping his hands on a towel.

You stared at it codly, as if the food had taken everything you loved away from you.

"I didn't even tell him i loved him..." you mumbled.

You stood up and walked outside to the lot. As you tried to escape the fact johnny wasn't going to be waiting for you in your two's usual spot, you sat under the tree where he would be. You plugged in your blue earbuds and played 'Talking to the moon' hoping a miracle would occur. You left one earbud dangling. Just incase you heard the moon speak- you were going mad.... Like the song said. You cried as you tried to sing along.

" 'Or am i a fool?
Who sits alone
Talking to the moon.' " a voice chimed in on the last line.

You turned your head to see johnny leaning on the tree beside you. Your jaw dropped and tears furiously ran down your cheeks. You took your earbud wire out of your phone and let the song blast. You both sang along and stood up to dance with what you prayed wasn't ghost.

" 'I know you're somewhere out there...
Somewhere far away...." and with that the song eneded and so did your duet.

Johnny looked into your eyes. "You're not a fool. And i love you." he said.

You kissed him. "I love you too." you whispered cupping his face with your hands.

"H-how are you here though?" you couldn't help but ask as you both sat down to look at the stars.

"Some special procedure or somethin. I dunno why but they did. And my burns are almost gone." he said.

You nodded and hugged him gently, not wanting to hurt your angel. You two watched as a full moon took its place above you in the sky.

"Hi moon," you said ,"Johnny says hi again." you smiled.

"[Y/N] says hi too." he said facing you.

"I won't ever leave you again." he promised.

You kissed his cheek. "Same here." you agreed.
