Special Chapter 3 - Princess Soniya's Gift

Soniya blushed. She bit her lips. She glared at Ananya, did she meant to say that I don't know how to walk? She couldn't help but feel insulted.

Nandini turned to look at Sonya with a surprised look, "Princess Soniya is it true? Digvijay helped you to walk?"

By this time Soniya's face was already red, "well, your highness, actually his highness helped me when I was falling. I accidentally stepped onto something and almost fell but luckily saved by his highness. If it wasn't for him I would have been hurt" she tried to explain herself. If others knew that she pretended to fall then it would be too embarrassing.

"Next time look where you are going" Ananya said, "everytime you won't be lucky to have the prince supporting you"

Soniya forced a smile,"I know, you don't have to tell me" she said through gritted teeth.

"It's just a little advice to be more cautious in the future. Or people will think that princess of Alwar couldn't even walk on her own". Ananya retorted back.

Soniya clenched her fist and gritted her teeth in anger. She didn't replied yet looked at Ananya sharply while Ananya threw a provoking look at her. Heena and Antara looked at them in confusion while Nandini sensed the smoke of enmity covering the two. She smiled lightly.

"Ananya" Nandini said making Ananya turn her head other side. Then she looked at Soniya who's expression was mixed with embarrassment and anger, "Princess Soniya please don't mind her words. Your gift is really beautiful, when you return back help me thank your mother"

Soniya nodded, "yes, I will. Now that I have given the gift, I will take my leave now. Please allow me your highness" she got up.

Nandini nodded, "of course, thank you for the girt again"

Nodding her head Soniya hurriedly left the spot. Nandini turned to look at Ananya. She was about to say something when Ananya got up immediately.

"Your highness I just remembered that I have something to do. I will leave first"

Nandini raised an eyebrow, "then leave"

"Yes" Ananya nodded and disappeared like a smoke.

"What just happened?" Antara frowned at the scene.

Nandini smiled, "something interesting is about to happen"

"What interesting?" Antara frowned. Heena and Ageratina looked at eachother giving a knowing smile.

"Well looks like choosing the crown princess will be too exciting" Nandini said as she threw a private smile. And she knows actually how to make things right. Suddenly a good plan formed in her mind unknown to the two princess who just formed an enmity between them.

"That bitch" Soniya twisted her handkerchief in anger. "How dare she insult me like that? No one ever dared to raise their voice against me yet that woman insulted me infront of the Queen" she couldn't help but gritted her teeth. She felt like going back and slapping Ananya till she faint.

"Princess you need to calm down. Getting too angry is not good for your health" her maid said.

Soniya turned around slapping across the maid's face. She poured all her anger on the slap.  The maid fell down on the floor crying out in pain.

"How dare you order me? Did you forget who you are to order me?" Soniya glared down at the poor maid.

"Princess I didn't dare ..." The maid started to trembled as she spoke. Her cheek were swollen and paining.

"Humph, you are just a maid. Don't try to overstep your position do you understand? Or I won't hesitate to sell you in the market" Soniya snapped angrily.

The maid trembled in fear, "please forgive me princess, it was my fault"

"It's good that you understand your position" Soniya felt satisfied. She has let her anger out and felt light. She looked at the maid on the floor, "why are you still sitting there? Get up and wash your face. Don't let other see your face. Or others will think I bully my maids" she snapped and left immediately followed by other maids.

The maid on the floor started to cry silently.

Ananya walked with her maids. It was the time before the evening. The sun was already in the West and about to set. Ananya stopped and looked towards the sunset. The red colour spread in the sky giving it a pleasing view.

"Princess isn't it beautiful?" One of her maid asked. 

"Yes it is" Ananya nodded as her eyes were focused on the scene. Her maids saw a figure walking towards them. They bowed a little and moved few steps back and lowered their heads.

Ananya was still unknown about the fact that someone stood beside him. She was enjoying the sunset view with a smile.

"You seemed to be happy" Ananya got startled. She turned her head abruptly and it collided with a hard chest. Running her forehead she moved back and glared at the person.

"Do you want to kill me by startling like this?" She glared.

Digvijay frowned, "you were too engrossed watching the scene"

"Of course it's beautiful so why can't I watch it?" She crossed her arms around her chest. "Why are you here your highness? Shouldn't you be busy preparing yourself for marriage?"

"What are you talking about?" He asked.

"Your highness have you forgotten that your mother is fixing your marriage this time? And I guess Princess Soniya has impressed your mother. I wonder if she becomes your wife at the end.

"Stop your nonsense" Digvijay groaned.

"I am just talking but you won't even know when everything is already fixed" Ananya smiled.

Digvijay narrowed his eyes at her. Ananya just smiled then turned around and left while Digvijay stood there watching her back.
