I said, "Oh, Vaish, it's fine. I am not angry with you. In fact, I wanted to thank you for always being with her when I was absent. And also, thank you so much for accepting me. I promise I will always make her happy." She nodded, saying, "I know." That's when my expression turned as I asked, "Now, can you tell me about the other men?"

She raised her eyebrows, confused, "Huh?" I asked, "You mentioned she was never happy with other men before, right? Who the hell are they? I thought I was the only one she dated and married."

She looked scared of me now as she said, "You seriously are still scary as ever, Vihaan. And to answer your question, no one in particular. She just went out with two or three guys randomly on a single date, that's all." I sighed, nodding.

She pushed me and went ahead, shouting, "Though you look scary, I still am capable of hurting you if you hurt her, Vihaan. So, be careful." I smiled, nodding, as we all sat there and had some snacks. We laughed, chatted about many things before going home.

After heading to the parking lot, Anvi asked Vaishu, "Do you need a ride, babe?" She shook her head as Reyansh said, "I will drop her, you don't worry." Uh-uh, something is going on here. Anvi looked at me, and by that look, I understood that even she is feeling something between them. I just gave her a small nod, smiling. We all headed home.

We saw all the elders sitting in the garden and talking about something. All of us joined them, and I got a call from Alex. I went to the other side, picking it up. He wanted to ask me about the wedding hall, decoration, something of those. After I spoke to him, I went back to the family and looked around, but she is not there.

Where did she go? I whispered to Rahul, "Did she go to the room?" He shook his head, saying, "No bhai, she was here until now." I nodded, looking around the garden, and found her at the end, near the tiger den. Shit! I ran towards her before the tiger could reach her.

There are high fences which Fluffy cannot reach, but Anvi is standing so close to the fence that his nails can scratch her. I immediately pulled her to me as Fluffy roared, jumping on the fence.

She hid her head inside my chest, shivering. I shouted to the workers there, "What the hell are you all doing? When she came here, I told everyone of you not to allow her close to Fluffy, right?" They all hung their heads low, as she slowly said, "Aan, don't shout."

I just sighed, picking her up. All my family heard my shouting; I guess they all looked worried. I glared at Rahul; he mouthed sorry and hung his head down. I took her to our room and placed her on the bed, checking for any injuries. Thank god she is safe.

I controlled all my anger as I asked, "I told you not to go there, didn't I? What if something happened to you? He is not some pet animal for you to play with. He needs to be tamed by your touch before you go near him. He needs to get used to you. What if I wasn't here today? What were you thinking, Vie?" With each question, my voice sound increased.

She just hung her head low and didn't say anything. I could hear her slowly sniffing. I sighed, saying, "Come here," and took her into my arms, rubbing her back, caressing her hair.

She said, "I just wanted to play with him, Aan. You named him Fluffy, why? Because of him, right?" (They had a dog named Fluffy in their last life.)

I nodded slightly. She said, "See, that is why I wanted to see him, play with him as well. If I ask you, you will say no for sure, so I went by myself."

I cupped her cheek and said, "Okay, fine. I am sorry that I shouted. I will take you to him, okay? After he gets used to you, then you can go alone whenever you want. But until then, promise me that you will never go alone there."

She nodded, doing a pinky promise with me. I ruffled her hair, pulling her close to me and kept my forehead on hers. We stayed like that for some time.

After dinner, Maa said, "Anvi, you can sleep with me in my room today, okay?" I shouted, "Why?" She glared at me, saying, "Because some wild animals may enter her room, Vihaan." Everyone in the family laughed, including Anvi.

I said, "But Maa, we are married now, right? Before you used to say that we are not married, so no sleeping together, but now we are married, right?"

She said, "OH but I didn't say it is beacause of you Vihaan, I'm scared that fluffy will hurt her again." I whined, "Maa, come on everyone here knows what you meant."

She turned to Anvi and asked, "Are you okay with this, Princess?" She nodded, saying, "Of course, Maa. I will sleep with you and Baba tonight." Maa nodded, went into their room.

I asked, "Seriously, Vie?" She stuck her tongue out to me and went to my mom's room. What the hell, man? Rahul and Rishi came, patting both my shoulders, and went. I went to my room, throwing the pillows away. After some time, I tried to sleep. Nope. I know now I became an insomniac. No, I became addicted to her scent calming me to sleep.

I scrolled through Netflix. After some time, nothing worked, so I silently went to my parents' room and peeked inside, hoping even she couldn't sleep without me. But when I saw her encircled arms with my mom and dad, sleeping peacefully there, I was somewhat happy to know that she is feeling safe enough to sleep with them.

I remembered Vaish saying she will never fall asleep with anyone unless she trusts them. I felt happy that she is now having that parents' love she never got. Okay So, I guess I won't get any sleep today. I went to the garden.

When I was about to go to Fluffy, suddenly someone jumped on my back. I fumbled a bit but caught their legs. Looking back, I saw Anvi there, smiling. I asked, "What are you doing here? You were sleeping, right?" She got down and said, "I was sleeping until a big devil decided to show up and make noise."

I apologized, saying I didn't mean to wake her up. She lifted her hands, indicating me to pick her up, which I gladly did.

She pecked on my lips and said, "Even I can't sleep without you, Aan. I was missing your arms around me because those arms give me the safest feeling in this entire world. It feels like no one can hurt me when I am embraced with those, so I can sleep peacefully." I smiled so widely, pressing feather-light kisses all over her face as she giggled.

She asked me, "You were going to fluffy, right?" I nodded, and she squealed, saying, "Come on, let's go then." I sighed, taking her there.

After some time of taming him with her touch, he became more close to her, much sooner than I expected. He's always been a mama's boy, no matter back then or now. He instantly recognized her.

We were sitting near the tree now, and she was sitting in my lap. Fluffy surrounded us with his huge body, playing with her. She asked, "How did you meet him, Aan?"

I smiled, remembering that incident. I said, "When I went trekking with my friends once into the forest, I got lost. Suddenly, I was chased by a wolf. I was so scared, and I hit a log and fell down. I closed my eyes, prepared for that wolf to eat me."

"But this guy came there and scared the wolf away. I was so scared as the tiger approached me, but to my surprise, he leaned into my hand and played with me. I didn't know why he felt so connected with me back then, he just followed me until I reached home, so I just brought him into home that day."

"After a lot of taming and grooming, he stopped hurting anyone in the family. When I remembered our past life, that's when I felt he is our boy. And see the coincidence, I didn't even know why I named him Fluffy. Everyone in the family laughed at that, but also were shocked to see this huge guy responding to that name."

She caressed his head, saying, "Oh, Fluffy boy, I missed you a lot." He leaned into her touch and rubbed against her hand.

We laughed, playing with him for some time, and soon we fell asleep in each other's arms, because we are each other's safe place, we are each other's home.
