"You better put that hand away before I kick it," Bakugo threatened.

You chuckled, "not explode it? Kick it?"

Bakugo stared at you for a moment, his features softening on his face.

You put your hand down, "has something been going on with your quirk?"

Bakugo looked away and you knew your answer.

"Why didn't you tell me? This is important, you have to tell me these things if you're losing your quirk."

Bakugo looked back at you, the soft features he had shown a moment ago eradicated. "No, they're not gone yet. And I know Winter weakens my quirk but it's not that either."

"That means the process is speeding up, we may not have that much time as Bondye said we do," you said as you began to move around, you were getting that feeling all over again. The shaky hands, blurry vision, and increasing heartbeat.

No. You weren't going to act like this today, you exhaled and stopped moving. You weren't nervous at all, Bakugo was and you had to help him. At least that's what you told yourself.

You stared at Bakugo, "well, what are we doing standing here? Let's go!" You began to run, hoping Bakugo was following behind.

Except, Bakugo was not going to be behind you, instead he sped up, slowly gaining on you and now leading the run. "Isn't it around here?" You shouted, looking around the buildings.

He yelled back, "Somewhat."

Just then you caught a glimpse of a brightness, you slowed down to see what it was. Your slow down walk quickly turned into a complete stop when you realized what it was.

You watched in awe as the sky turned shades of pink and orange. "Look, the sun is rising," you exclaimed, pointing towards the horizon.

Bakugo was not that far ahead when he had heard you and stopped in his tracks to see what you were talking about. He turned around and saw the colors of the light, the pink and oranges shine onto your face and body.

You stood there entranced by the sunrise. He softly groaned as he walked back to see what you had been talking about. And when he had seen it, it made his eyes widen in awe.

The sun was slowly rising up into the blue sky, and as it did it casted a warm orange glow over the land. The sky was painted with hues of pink, purple, and gold, creating a breathtaking canvas that seemed to stretch on forever.

The tall buildings of the city seemed to be silhouetted against that beautiful backdrop. It was a sight to behold, and for a moment, you both forgot about the chaos of the city and just stood there, taking in the moment.

The two of you stood in silence for a while, lost in the beauty of the sunrise. You couldn't help but steal glances at Bakugo, admiring his features in the soft glow of the rising sun. He was always so intense and fierce and these past few days that persona had worsened, but at this moment, he looked calm and peaceful.

"Not that bad," he said with a slow nod as he stared on.

"I'll take that," you said with a chuckle. You stared in for a while until you gained the confidence of to turn and look at Bakugo. In which you found him already looking at you.

His eyes darted back at the sunrise and you couldn't help but giggle at him being so flustered. Bakugo to a deep breath out, embarrassed that he had been caught and gave up on hiding it, he turned to your direction with a small smile already plastered onto his face.

As Bakugo fully turned to you and your eyes met, you couldn't help but say, "You're smiling."

Bakugo chuckled at the comment, it was the first time you had actually heard his laughter. "I hadn't noticed," Bakugo sarcastically told you with a smile, but it hadn't felt like a rude remark back at you. It just felt different, a more appealing joke and you couldn't help but smile.

Your smile grew even more at the sight of his intense red eyes and his messy blonde hair, illuminated by the warm glow of the sun. He seemed to be studying your face, taking in every detail.

In that moment, everything around you both seemed to fade away, and it was just the two of you. You both stood there, staring at each other, taking in every detail, every emotion and during that time you and Bakugo's smile slowly disappeared.

You could feel Bakugo's eyes move from your eyes to your lips and you couldn't help but do the same. You felt your body leaning forward but Bakugo didn't stop you nor push you away, alternatively he repeated the action, your faces moving closer inch by inch.

Until, you stopped. Your face was so close to his that it made you think, What were you doing? You had to be the bigger person and stop this. He was just some anime character who would have to leave in the end. You couldn't let something that shouldn't happen weigh on you when he was gone.

You cleared your throat, pulling back. And as soon as the moment started, it disappeared. Bakugo pulled back, staring back at the sunrise and you did too. You knew the chance was gone and for a moment you regretted pulling back.

However it had to be done, you couldn't be with someone like him.
