I built walls so high
They would put the tallest
Skyscraper to shame
They were made of
Brick and severe isolation
The cracks were filled
With mortar and bad memories
Any weak spots were patched with
Wood and fear
It took me a lifetime of pain and sorrow
A lifetime of mistakes
And building the wall
Higher and higher
And then i met you
I willed myself to stay strong
I promised to not let down
My walls
My beautiful walls
The walls that took me years to build
The walls that you took down in a matter of weeks~Margaret Ann Plizga 👑
