You might be wondering how Richie's legs and all that is possible. Well I read in my human anatomy book in one of my classes that a lot of really tall people get bugs in their knees that slowly eat ways at their bones then they shrink and get arthritis. I interpreted this with Richie because I wanted to add some ✨DrAmA✨ to this story and Reddie angst. I promise that I will try and do more chatfic convos than the stories I'm sorry it's addicting lol! So long story short, Richie breaking his knee at the skate park and falling in the kitchen just made him snap in half. (Similar to how Max's knees crippled in stranger things 4 if you have seen it that's what they've looked like)
