The following is an account of the location known as the 'Chrysalis Field.'
Due to the nature of the fey realms, sending in spies and gathering information has proven difficult. As such, we have been forced to rely on rumors and deals with fey to acquire information. As the validity of said sources are questionable, the information given in this account should be viewed as such.
The Chrysalis Field is one of the few locations in the fey realms that is not subject to its ever-changing and immaterial nature. A land that is believed to hold all deals and contracts made by the fey, the natural fey at least. This field is believed to be a key factor in the great power of the fey contracts. The link created between the field, the fey, and the second party ensures that the contract is secured by the power of the fey realms and not just the power of the singular fey.
The land's ruler, or caretaker, is believed to be Archfey (redacted), who is a fey believed to have been born from the rumor of fey contracts. Their power is believed to be the catalyst that binds the realms. However, an alternative theory that has recently been proposed is that the Chrysalis Field's vital nature catalyzes the natural spirit energy of the fey realm to allow it to sustain its material form. This would make it one of the few self-sustaining lands of the fey realms.
From the composite of various sources, the Chrysalis Field is believed to resemble an orchard of the human realms. This is believed to be due to the abundance of humans that often make deals with fey and the proximity of the fey realms to the human realm. However, unlike the orchards of the human realm, the Chrysalis Field is in a constant state of twilight, and rolling over the field is an ever-present mist that is toxic to non-fey.
Sources say plants resembling those from various realms are found in the fields, most notably from the human realm, demon realms, and the lands of purgatory. These plants possess incredible amounts of spirit magic and house the fey contracts.
We have received conflicting reports as to the exact location of the contracts within the plants. Some sources suggest that they are housed in the fruits, while others state they are housed in the seeds. It has been suggested by (redacted) an expert on fey that both reports could hold merit. That the exact location of the contracts could be based on the nature and form of the plant. It has also been suggested that the form of the plants could be based on the location where the contract was made.
It is also believed that the Chrysalis Field plays an essential role in the lifecycle of the fey. Young fey are drawn to the contracts held in the fields, and the energy released is believed to nourish them. It has also been reported that the skies above the fields are alight with the dancing lights at certain times. A phenomenon that is known by the fey as 'first light.' What triggers this phenomenon, as well as its significance to the fey, is yet unknown.
What happens once the contract is fulfilled is still unknown. However (redacted) theorizes that the energy stored in the plants is released, nourishing the entire fey realm.

The Chrysalis Field is a vital point for the fey. Gaining control over the land would grant us significant influence over the fey realms. It may even grant absolute control without the need for an invasion. Further attempts are being made to gather information, specifically regarding the exact location of the Chrysalis Field and potential entry points.
