"That'll be seven hundred and fifty dollars." I said as I flashed a smile at one of my customers. It was my last day at work since I had a flight to catch in the morning. I couldn't wait to get off, I needed a break from work and California was the perfect getaway.

The customer slipped me eight 100 dollar bills and I rung him up and gave him his change. I flashed him one more smile before making my way to the floor to check on one of the sections I was tending to.

"Everything okay over here boys?" I ask as I approached the group of five men.

Only one of them spoke up. "Yeah we good beautiful, thank you."

"Anytime." I smiled as I made my way back to the bar.

I couldn't help but to roll my eyes at the sight of Jared sitting at the bar with a smirk on his face. I let out a scoff as I made my way towards the bar. Although I wasn't very fond of him, I still was at work and one thing I wasn't gonna do was let a nigga come between me and my paper.

Once I got behind the bar I stood across from him with a straight face. I was used to him behaving like this, but I honestly was over it. "What can I get you?"

His eyes scanned over my body, causing the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up. The feelings I had for him didn't just vanish over night, the love I had for him was still there. But did I want to be with him? No.

"You. I miss you Cimani."

I wiped down the bar's countertop as I tried to avoid eye contact with as best as I could. "Jared...you knew what we had was over once you put your hands on me."

"Was that really the reason? Or it's because of Saint?" He asked as he shook his head once he seen I was hesitating to respond.

"I mean yeah, he plays a part too. But let's not act like I just ended what we had because of him. It's time for you to take accountability for your actions too."

He let outa scoff, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "So what we had just doesn't matter to you any more?"

I poured a few shots for some customers that were just coming in as I let out a sigh. "Of course it matters, but Jared I'm grown now. I'm having fun, the same way you were when we were together. Not so fun when I'm on what you on, right?"

I couldn't help but to laugh a little. "My love for you will never change, and who knows one day maybe we'll cross paths again? But as of right now I'm good where im at Jared. Seriously. So you popping up to my job and house, that has to stop. Word."
